I've grown in my PC and in my Cab before but I've never documented it the way I should have. I'm planning on sticking with this thread from start to finish just for fun. I haven't grown in a while. I found 3 mystery seeds and decided to start germinating yesterday with seeds in individual paper towels... Moistened and left in zip lock bags in a dark cabinet. I'll be cleaning up and preparing the PC and cab tonight. Here are some pics I've had since last grow to show the boxes Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Just me again... Slow moving here so far. Out of the three mystery seeds I started germinating, only one is looking promising. They've only been in moist paper towel for 4 days though I started cleaning up the cabinet since it hasn't been used in about a year. I decided to hold off on the top level PC grow box until things are working out and I know I'll be putting a clone in there before flowering the first plant in the lower cabinet Here are some quick pics while doing some maintenance Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I know this thread isn't very exciting yet but I'm still waiting for my seeds to germinate :/ So while I'm anxiously waiting, I spruced up the PC box a little today. I added some light traps on the 2 fans in back ( using Velcro strips and pieces of a yoga mat ) I also added an exhaust fan to my window and sealed the rest very nicely with the rest of the yoga mat haha. Looks very clean and neat( that's important to me ) So here are the recent pics .. Since I love seeing pics of other people micro cabs just as much , or more than I like to see their grow and fu al yield. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
hehe I love those yoga mats. I've cut a few up for different projects. If you get bored you can swing by my thread...I have quite a few cabs you can check out. link's in my sig.
... Alright now I'm going a little too far.... Still anxiously waiting ... So I added some speakers..... Hahahahahaha Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Pulling up a chair, i like the yoga mat light trap and how night and tidy everything looks. Good luck on the grow Sent from my SGH-I747M using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I finally got a seed to pop... Just put her into some soil today... Keeping lights on 24hrs until I see some nice results. Pics soon. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Not much to look at right now. Sprouted a little root... Planted it root down... This is the first time I started in a bigger pot instead of a solo cup...... The clear cup for a humidity dome would usually cover the whole surface of the soil with a solo cup... Is it an issue that it's only covering the area with the seed in this pot? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
nah it's cool. You're just trying to keep the seedling moist till it sprouts, then remove the dome. I sometimes leave the dome on for an extra day or 2 if the seedling doesn't shed it's shell right away....the idea is that the extra humidity will make the shell softer and easier to break free from.
nice thanx. It's been a while since I stared from seed... And I'm alllllways anxiously waiting for progress haha how long until I see those cute little round leaves? Haha Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I usually see them break the surface just a day or 2 after I plant them. hehe ...waiting is the hardest part...alot of nights I just want to do some kind of work to make things go faster or more efficient...Sometimes there's nothing better to do then wait
My first attempt failed. The seed popes but I planted too early I think...and I don't think it would have grown anyway... I just had a bunch of old mystery seeds... I germinated the rest and only had one that popped.. Planted in soil two days ago Can anyone tell me if it's ok or not for the little stem to be curved like this? Is this the root? I'm hoping the top pops out and I get little leaves but I'm not sure Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
yeh it's cool the stem will unbend and the leaves will open....it's been a few hours, probably happened by now No need for the dome once they break the surface...
Should I be concerned that the two large " fan leaves?" At the bottom are sometimes touching soil.. And are now large enough to touch the sides of the pot? I planted with lower soil level after seeing a tip online... I was supposed to let her grow up taller and then add a little more soil to strengthen the stem/ support Seems like she isn't very tall I was thinking moving her farther from the lights, promoting more stretching... What do the experts think? Cut the fan leaves in half so they are working but aren't at risk for issues with hitting sides an soil? Change distance from lights to promote a taller plant? Transplant/ re plant with more soil? Or just leave it?
it's fine how it is leaves touching the soil is more of an issues outdoors, where it creates another path for bugs to crawl up the plant.
