  1. So is it just me or do people find that dogs are better pets than cats? I feel as if you can play fetch with dogs, they have more of a personality, and overall, are a better pet to bond and play with. What do you guys think?

  2. I personally believe dogs (wolves) helped early humans grow into modern humans and vice versa.

Cats were because we were bored.

I like both (just Maine coons though).

  3. Depends on the person in my opinion. I'm not very outgoing, I spend most of my time indoors so a cat is more suitable for me because I can just have it chill with me all day. Cats like to play with yarn, string etc.. which is still pretty entertaining. And they don't cost much, low maintenance and still have a personality.

If I had to chose between a cat and a dog, I'd get a goat.

  4. Lots of things are good pets. I trip on how theyre all so behaviorally different and the same. They all get jealous too. Even my chickens lol

My rabbit is your typical asshole. And he's socially awkward too. Just a weirdo.

Chickens are hella funny. You could sit and watch them all day, they have a pecking order haha

My dogs are lovable little bastards. Well not little, theyre actually pretty big, but theyre loyal and funny and fearless.

Our cat is like this old wise man. I know, sounds weird but he's a cat of few meows. And he's direct.

Our desert tortois eats spaghetti and prevers it to anything else, though he does like lasagna. Put lettuce on one side and spaghetti on the other and see what he chooses.

Lost 4 of my dogs the last year, 2 the year before. Been a real rough year but the above makes it all worth it. Before my grandmother passed away a few months ago she told me, "you know son, I realised something about life the other day. None of my animals ever showed me anything but love. There was never a hunger in their eyes like that of the humans Ive known, only genuine love and fierce loyalty."

    :smoke:

  5. Yeah thats very true. I just think Dogs are more of a companion for a human and vise versa than anything.

I can see that. But a dog could just be an indoor house dog too, you know?

Yeah very true. I just find and think that Dogs have MORE of a personality than cats. I think cats do have a personality, its just a little different than a dogs if you understand me haha. But yeah chickens are by far the best things to watch constantly hahahaha.

  6. I currently have a Shiba Inu. They make great pets because they stay fairly small (20-30lbs), they don't bark, easy to house train, and get TONS of appraise from random people especially hotties because they look like foxes.
The only con I can say is that they have double coats, they shed like a muthafukker. They're not cheap though.

  7. Yeah I wouldnt assume they would be cheap. I have a welsh and lakeland terrier and they are both the cutest dogs but they shed a lot too man. One of them sleeps with me in my bed and like every week I find that I have dog hair everywhere on my bed. It's nasty :p.

  8. There's a good documentary on dogs on netflix.

  9. Dog serves man. Man serves cat. Take your pick.

  10. My cats are characters. Very loving too. I swear they act like dogs sometimes. One of them plays fetch, two of them follow me around. They're just as cool or cooler than any dog.

Haha that's a different way to look at it.

Thats awesome and all but don't the majority not do that? Maybe I'm just biased haha. If you've ever looked into ducks as pets, now those are cool and interesting pets there.

  12. Cats definitely have personalities.  Quite comical usually.  I had 4 cats growing up.  All but 1 have passed.  My wife and I now have 2 dogs now and I gotta say I'm a dog person now.

Each are great in their own ways suiting to certain lifestyles.  Indoor cats are also way to unsanitary for my preferences.  Especially when you have 3 at once. Maybe one wouldn't be so bad.   A lot easier to keep up after.

  13. Maine coons are great cats imo. Extremely docile and I love fat cats.

Mine would not shy from strangers and would jump in your lap within seconds of you entering my home. He also fetched to an extent.

Still I prefer dogs, I can't take a cat hiking or to the beach.

  14.
Yeah I'm with you there. I love them Dogs haha.

Yeah exactly my point. Dogs you can take places with you as well, they follow you and are extremely loyal. But I can see where cats would be an okay pet as well.

  15. Yeah both my shiba and Maine coon were great friends.

  16.
My two terriers could not be friends with any cats :/. They always try and kill the neighborhood cats whenever they're around haha.

  17.
Not to mention how ecstatic dogs are you to see you walk through your door every time.  Even if you only left for like 8 minutes..... and they are waiting EVERY TIME!

  18.
Exactly! It's pretty amazing and awesome to have a creature/animal do that for you. Makes you really feel wanted haha

  19. My buddy says my dog instinctively knows I'm about to come home and will sit at the front door around 9 pm, though I'm home around 930 or 10.

But once I come, she flattens her ears, closes her eyes and finds the nearest toy to bring and then do the crazy circle dance. It's cute.

  20. Hahaha that's awesome man. My dog does something similar and always follows me around when I'm at home. It's pretty awesome.
