Is it just me, or is it "high" time there be a Recreational section of the GC forums? The majority of the site is sectioned out for medical, which makes sense, because for the last 20 years that was the only legal form of consumption. Now, we are going on 2 years of legal recreational use in 2 of our great states with many more soon to follow. So shouldn't the forums reflect that change in our collective culture? The reason being is that I've lurked here on and off for a few years and only started posting because of political threads back in the last election cycle. Since I basically use the forums as a source of knowledge, I'm surprised at the lack of organized information about the rec states, namely info for tourists. I'm headed out to the Mile High city for the 2nd time this year to spend my tourism dollars there again. Once again I came here looking for info, but the search turned up not much. I feel that if there was a subcategory that it would also promote people to make write ups about there trip(s), the problems they encountered or great moments of zen. even info on how to smoke/vape concentrates on the cheap, cuz i'm not gonna buy a $200 rig just for the trip. well, what say you?
GC is an open minded community. Like Everyone uses recreationally and I don't think we need a dedicated sub just for that
It wasn't always like that. There was a section called "recreational marijuana usage". I'm guessing the admins changed the language to appear more legit. It doesn't really matter.
I think a recreational section would be great. It would give us living in legal states a place to chill. Face it things are way fucking different up in Washington state now.
this is what i was talking about, if there was a subforum for rec states, it would attract people who live there to comment on whats going on, and allow outsiders and tourists to ask questions and become informed before actually travelling there. right now, threads that focus on recreational topics are scattered all over the forums. i posted a question in general and its gotten no replies. mainly, i'm guessing, is because it quickly gets buried by threads like "answer the question above you" or "last words before beheading" ...
That's because you posted it in the "general topics that don't have to do with marijuana" section. Now if it were in a "smoking & usage" section, things might go different?
you are probably right, if i did post it in the smoking & usage section i might have gotten a lot more replies. but, i must point out that the section is titled, Medical Smoking & Usage. my question is about Recreational dispensaries. so, again, i reiterate, there is no Recreational section where my question belongs, do you see my point now?
I understood your point from the beginning, but what I fail to comprehend is how you can have lurked for years (as stated in OP), and not figure out where to ask questions. Recreational dispensaries are just medical with a new name, maybe new locations, and you have to be 21 to get in, with a valid government issued I.D. Smoking and vaping anything can be found in the toking tools section. And info about trips can be written in your blog, here, travels, various threads dedicated to damn near any specific matter, etc...
