Ok, now I'm really going to confuse you.     If being "idiot friendly' is not on the top of your priority list and you are willing to spend a bit of time to learn how a specific vaporizer operates and tailor your technique to your vaping style, there are MUCH better alternatives to the Volcano, regardless of price.

  2. Convection Vaping is preferred by most because it heats up the herb evenly without any combustion at all producing real vapor. This is the type of vaporizer most doctors recommend to avoid heat going into the lungs. One of the very few negative effects of medical marijuana is inhaling combusted herb.
Conduction Vaping is extremely popular as well. Using this device, you place grinded up material right onto the coil and hold down the power button. Quick and simple. This is for the persons who are looking to smoke on the go. If you are one of those persons who hits a pipe a few times throughout the day, this device may be for you. A conduction vape will produce smoke at a lower temperature than rolling a joint but nonetheless it will be smoke with the same affect.

  3. There are MANY conduction based vaporizers that do not produce smoke. They produce vapor. If a product that is marketed as a vaporizer can only produce smoke, it is NOT a vaporizer.
