Vape For Herb, Oils, And Waxs?

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by Birkinator, Aug 18, 2014.

  1. Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a splendid Monday(Ironic?)!

I have a quick question that hopefully someone will have a great recommendation for. I am looking for an all in one solution, for herb, oils, and waxes. Before you say, why don't you pick up a bong, i want to clarify that i'm looking for something discrete, like a pen or other pocket-able design, that i can vape on the run.

If at all possible, i want to find a solution that can do all 3 without having to swap out cartridges. If that isn't an option, would you mind recommending a portable model, that has an easily swappable tank.

I was considering getting a pax ploom, as i heard you can run all 3 out of it, but i've gotten mixed reviews on usages with all 3, as well, the site states that it is used for herbs. Can any confirm this?

    Thank you in advance!

  2. Da Vinci Ascent

  3. As Iwien said your best bet is the ascent that effectively and efficiently does all 3. Do not buy into all of the three in one pens some work good for oil and wax but will burn your dry herbs.

  4. I have a question. What about a vape pen that its focus is on vaping herbs, one that won't combust or smell very lil like marijuana. Any suggestions?

  5. i pray your joking

  6. So the Da Vinci Ascent is, unanimously(so far), going to be my best bet? Reviews look pretty solid. I appreciate the input guys!

  7.
You're kidding, right?  Pleeeeze say you're kidding !!!

  8. The t vape is the only "pen vape" that will efficiently vaporize dry herbs and all dry herb vapes produce a distinct smell.

  9. There isn't really an all-in-one that will do everything perfectly.  The problem lies with leaf - Leaf vaporizes at a higher temperature than most pen type vapes can produce.  The atomizers that heat up waxes and oils don't work well with leaf itself, so you don't get even heat or effective vapor.

I have an iolite and several g-pen types plus an eCig - I use them all for different materials.  The g-pens are great for waxes and shatters.  The e-Cig is for juice and the iolite is for leaf.

There aren't any vapes on the market that don't cost and arm and a leg that can do multiple materials well.

  10. Yes I know its like a joke, But 4real!! They have countless ptoducts claiming (no combust,no smell, discreet) but its just hype to sell the product.like that snoop dogg vape pen. I'm sincerely asking for help. I mean with all the pens, plug in, and concentrate set ups, I would think they made something to fit this purpose.
    Thank you for input.

How in the hell can you say that it blows everything else out of thew water when it hasn't even been released yet?   It could end up being a pile of shit.

  12. Touche....

However looking at the stats on it compared to the other handheld vapes out there, stat-wise it is #winning.

But indeed you are correct my friend, time will indeed tell.

Also, as far as buying one as soon as it's released, please read my post which is the last post on the following page in this link>>http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-grasshopper-originally-the-zenpen.9952/page-93#post-647703

I think what I said here has to be seriously considered before jumping on the Grasshopper bandwagon.

  14. What stats? The size? Everything else is unproven and some of still seems to be based in fantasy land.

  15.
Oh you're absolutely correct in your FC post, perfect thought processes actually if I do say so myself.

Of course there WILL be glitches, as there are glitches in even the newest systems of anything (ex: PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbox1, etc).

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Personally I have COPD (23 years old) which is absolutely terrible, but hey.. Too many blunts are bad for you.. Regardless of the fact, I purchased a Gentlemans Dry-Herb cart for my iTaste a while back and it definitely combusted the flowers. I started with the original Iolite, then bought a Pax, then decided to stick to my water pipe because everything else was pretty lame and didn't get me anywhere close to where I needed to be. It is in this regard that I am hoping that Grasshopper is actually onto something and can provide the end-user, finally, with a product that we as vapor-consumers can agree is a decent product. Although, as you previously mentioned they are still a startup company pursuing an early adoption standpoint, and while they are indeed pushing the envelope for the industry (or so it seems), only time will tell how they truly fare.

Iwien though, I see your preference is the DaVinci Ascent. Do you have any backing that you could provide us with as to why you like it for a portable over let's say the Pax, or others? I'm curious as to what may be considered best now as well!

So sorry to hear about your COPD issues.   23 years old is wayyyy too young for that to be happening.    Please take care of yourself, k?

In regards to the DaVinci, I only prefer it over others in certain situations.   The OP asked for a multi-purpose vape to vape concentrates AND dry herb and the DaVinci fills that bill really well.

I won a DaVinci in a contest over at FC but sold it pretty quickly because for me, efficiency is really important and the DaVinci was not very efficient.    It is primarily an always-on conduction based vape much like the PAX, and as such, efficiency takes a pretty big hit.

There really is no one best portable vape.   It really depends on what your priorities are.

  17. Thank you very much!

I'm personally saving right now for a Herbie, which I've seen you can get relatively cheap if you catch a Massdrop special or find a coupon, etc. In my specific situation Herbie seems best because I've been making canna-caps lately that seem to hold me over pretty well while I'm not home.

I will definitely check out the DaVinci though as well because I do get urges sometimes to smoke when I'm out and want to try and repair my lungs to the best of my ability while I'm still young x_x

  18.
HerbalAire or Herbalizer?    Both great vapes though.

I'm sorry to hear about your COPD! Have you looked into any of the heavier hitting vapes possibly by seventh floor? They make some of the biggest cloud producers on the market and at a fair price to boot. I personally own a mflb and a herbalaire (used to own a solo before it broke). The mflb is great for a quick hit and going about your business, but when I'm in need of a heavy hitter I reach for my herbie. One crucible knocks my medical conditions out and leaves me feeling good enough to function. Portables are great for the go, but nothing beats the power of a desktop.
