Tips For Stealth Bakers - Ground Up Pot Stems

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Jeannie305, Aug 18, 2014.

  1. I live in a condo where you can smell whatever your neighbors are cooking - there is no way I could get away with cooking cannabis on a stove. Maybe in a microwave late at night ... but not on a stove.

With a little prescription bottle full of ground up stems and a whole lotta love, are there any raw or no-bake recipes I can use to create edibles?

  2. I wouldn't really bother making any edibles if the only thing you have is a little bit of stems. That might work for one single cookie but no way can you make a batch of anything with it, it'll be very weak to where you won't notice any effects.
I've never tried using the microwave for cooking edibles but I highly doubt it'll work, because you cannot control the temperature easily in microwaves. You'll end up burning out the thc (or the butter/oil) if you leave it on for a prolonged amount of time. Maybe it could work on defrost mode but I wouldn't recommend doing it.
It's not easy to cook cannabis without creating smell. When I make canna butter on the stove you can smell it from right outside the front door and I live in a two story house. I've been trying to experiment with different ways to get around this problem too. I may have a solution, but I haven't tried it yet.

    You'll need:
    -A Crock Pot
    -Water
    -Small mason jar
    -Weed
    -Butter, oil, or vegetable glycerin

Fill the crock pot half way with water. Put your weed into the mason jar, and then put the oil (or whatever you're using) into the mason jar as well. Seal up the jar nice and tight. Now put the jar in the crock pot, it should float in the water. Cover the crock pot and put it on LOW (if it has a keep warm setting that should work as well). Let it sit for several hours, occasionally try and remove the jar to shake it so the contents get mixed well. Be very careful here though because every part of the jar is going to be extremely hot, you'll need protect gloves or tongs forsure. After a few hours you can remove the jar from the crock pot and strain the weed out with a cheesecloth (again its super hot so be careful). Mason jar seal tight so there should be very little smell during the cooking process, but be warned as soon as you open the jar there is going to be a massive amount of weed smell escaping it. If you do it at night it'll probably be ok.
Last part, I would use vegetable glycerin if I was you. When you cooking with canna butter the smell comes out again when it's baking. With vegetable glycerin you can just take small amounts of it straight up without cooking into anything, you can mix it into a drink, or you can put it into an ecig and vape it. Much more stealthy. Hope this helps!
