http://wallstcheatsheet.com/politics/5-states-and-one-city-ready-to-legalize-marijuana.html/?a=viewall I heard from a friend a few weeks back his prediction, which went along as "Dude, all of the states on the outside are going to legalize first. Anywhere in the midwest except Colorado will be legalized last." Does anyone else believe that the ports will get the pot first?
Not necessarily. Its only base is that they're are less port states than land states and some are already on the side of legal or recreational. Florida is probably a port state unlikely to legalize soon. And the states immediately north of it all the way to up until PA. VA might, with DC doing what its doing. But it doesnt necessarily mean it will.
Maine seems most promising for the east coast. Never know I guess Cali sure would have a huge effect tho Sent from my iPhone 5s using Grasscity Forum..grabba dabba goo
CO is about to have fun getting over this next hump. they are short on tax money and the black market is thriving. and all these money hungry ppl are starting to talk on talk radio or the net. i watched two ppl today on rec side leave as i purchased medical. well i think a preroll or something dumb was purchased but not what they came for. inflated prices, rushed mishandled product, and inferior meds. some places are fair but some are down right awful. good meds at a fair price will win no matter in a store or a honda civic.
You both are correct IMHO. Maine is just a cool state. Damn near Canadian. Oregon has a long history of producing excellent cannabis. Lots of wide open spaces to grow.
The determining factor is not port or land lock state, but red vs. blue state. Red states that are the bastion of the continued puritisum movement now in the form of evangelical and fundamental Christians, yea legalization not goanna happen. Despite the libertarian wing of the republican party if we look at the polling breakdown its clear republicans no, independents and democrats yes. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/07/legal-marijuana-poll_n_5659602.html?ncid=txtlnkusaolp00000592
Once DC legalizes, weed will be taken off the schedule 1 MUCH quicker. And I read somewhere that three studies show that 65% of DC wants to legalize wheras only 52% of Colorado and 53% of Washington voted for legalization Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
maine will be voting on it in 2016, or so ive been told. everyday i read about the 2 sides fighting over the issues of big business growers vs small time caregivers becoming large scale growers. id actually vote against it being legal if it means i cant grow my own medically anymore...which is what ive heard is the main thing the people are fighting over also, maine is a cool state.
