First Week Into Flower, Tips Please

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by beesee420, Aug 17, 2014.

  1. So I just started my flower cycle a week ago and this being my first grow I would really like some feedback from some experienced growers. Im running a 18 site ebb and grow hydroponic system with led lighting. Im using 2x 400 watt leds and added 2 red led lights that are both around 40 watt and a reptile UVB light. A couple days ago the top of the nodes of a good portion of my plants showed some nute burn, so adjusted the ppm of my resevoir to go down 100 to 800 ppm. They dont seem to be hurting anymore but the burn is definitely stilll noticable... Will it have a huge affect on my yield?? The nute burn could maybe be from foliar feed; I sprayed them down pretty good the night before they showed the burn. The strains I have growing are bubba kush, and pre 98 bubba kush. the bubba kush seems to be more affected. photo 2 (1).JPG photo 1 (2).JPG

Update: I was using 2 240w Blackwater led not 400w.. but I reduced that to 1 to see if that would help. I don't think it could be nute burn, I'm only at 800 ppm and ph is at 5.7. Someone please give me some input. Here's some more pics I took of some of the affected leaves. Most of the lower branches are affected, most of my lower leaves are dead/dying.

  3. Knock off the foliar and run them on water for a while

  4. that looks like it's from the foliar...

if the new growth does well you should be ok...I'd just worry about any tops you might have completely fried...they might not be able to grow through it.

  5. How do you like LEDs ? Subbed

  6. Dont know much about that style of growing but i wouldnt be bothering with foliar feeding. Plants are big enough to get everything they need from the roots. Other than that looks alright, hopefully they heal quick from the burn.

  7. Thanks for the feedback guys yea most of them seem to be recovered. They're flower cycle was delayed a bit but we're back on track

  8. So far amazing for veg. Well see how my flowers turn out.

  9. It's certainly not ideal but I have had similar issues in the past that worked out 'fim'ing themselves with their munted leaves. They will near always come back it's just slows things for a bit. If time is not such an issue you could even snip em off so the plant doesn't fight for em but your canopy already looks pretty full......

  10. I would also flush and clean everything and triple check your ph. Don't forget to calibrate meters occasionally and also check ph of water at the temp you plan to feed at. I am no expert, just running some ideas. Also if you are ever worried about burn.....go back to plain water for a bit rather than just down 100. Straight water will sober em up a little faster.....n then go back in light.
