So, i am getting my grow together. I decided to try a new setup. I had one and after my 1st grow i realized i needed a better set up. Had some flaws so i decided ill go with a cardboard grow. I have a fan for cool air coming in and am going to put one at the top too to let the hot air out... FOLLOW ALONG. And feel free to comment and let me knw if i could be doing anything better. Best advice is safety first. Be real careful with a closed box. I have a wooden frame with cardboard walls but the top is a lid that I periodically open.

Open the box as much as you can, plants like fresh air, if you can just hang the light over them in open air you will get the best results. There realy is no need to box plants in.

Flowering is slow, Till you get brighter lights it will continue to be slow. My plants spend a lot more time in the flower room then the veg room and I flower under 2,000 watts.
What was flowering like for you last time, and what size HPS did you use? Hoping this one goes better for ya.
2,000 watt HPS in bloom and 1,000 watt MH in veg. I own lots of lights but use the (3) of 1,000 watt.

Good growers here do crazy things with 150 and 250 watt HPS. Amazing .Train the plants and get everything perfect and shoot for a quarter pound. Add lights as you can. QP +/- That is a respectable harvest. good luck.
What should i be doing differently? I have 4800 lumens going now. 300w equivalent and soon there will be 2 seedlings in here. I wanted to get it ready but it will be about another week b4 i put a plant in here... That is a 24watt t5 in the back there... 2000 more lumens. Should i get that going too??? Please help. yup get allllll your lights goin and them 3500k kelvin is ok for bud not veg you want 6500k for veg and 2700k for bud 4000-5000 kelvin is considered neutral light and is no useful spectrum to the plant just extra lumens and almost no good....

Don't worry about Kelvin temperature, it's really not worth exchanging bulbs over. If you are going to buy new ones anyway then go for the 6400k but the ones you have will work perfectly fine. How come you have gone down from a 150w HPS to 92w of CFL? Your cardboard box looks ok, but wouldn't it have been easier to buy a £30 tent?

I dont want to invest in the fan system to cool the hps... The fan is more thn i want to spend. N im nt worried about odor so i dont need all the fancy stuff... I can use ONA or air fresheners.
