So id Say they crop didn't do too bad, Out of five plants, (two of which started about a month or so behind the others three) 4 are female! Now it is time to switch over to the Bloom nutrients from the Oldtimers range. 3ml per litre for the large plants, and 2ml per litre for the smaller ones.
Now for the Up To Date post, i am no longer posting from the past, we are in real time! September 13th - 3 months and about 20 days into the grow, and 8 days into flower. Plant A (The Largest) The plant a couple of the canopy (multiple bud sites) And a couple close up bud photos
We now have still on September 13th Plant B - (the second largest, just before flower) Photos shows size, but no close ups
We now have on the 13th September; Plant C (a small one which has grown very fast compared to the others). - This one has had a larger pot for longer, and has been getting the correct nutrients for a larger chunk of her life compared to the large ones. - This plant is now receiving 3ml per litre of the bloom nutrients. Plant photo Canopy photos And a close up of the top (furthest from the root) bud
and finally, 13th September still... Plant D (the smallest, planted the same time as plant C) - this plant has been given a small container to grow in (due to availability at the time of planting). - it has also only been given 2ml per litre nutrients due to being smaller. The plant And a close up of the top bud
It is now 14th September, and the plants still look the same. The reason i come on today is to ask any advice from people about the amount of nutrients i am giving the plants. I feel as though the yellow colour of the leaves means i am giving the plants too little… but i don't want to go the other way and give them too much, any advice would be very much appreciated. Peace.
]Hi Jordansb8, Thank you very much for the response! I have dosed the large plants with 4ml per Litre (the max advised on the bottle) and gave the little one 3ml per litre. I will obviously update with photos as soon as i see a change. Smoke Well!!
Subbed in buddy Will have a little read and a ganders at your pics! She how much it's changed since I last saw. Peace 👽 Headchefs indoor and outdoor adventures! - http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1289059-
The reason for the plant looking the same is because when it's first 'activated' to flower it goes through 1-2 weeks of stretch. After the stretch period you will start to see them white hairs (pistils) shoot out everywhere, this will happen sometime till harvest. But I usually notice from weeks 4-5 they start to bulk up a little, this is when it's budding. Then the last couple of weeks is when the pistils start to retract and the caylxs swell, thus why it's called 'the swell' This is when the buds really start to change! here's some pics so you can visualise it.... veg stage (pre flowers have shown) This is the begining of the stretch period as you can see there are pistils already. few weeks after Strech and more pistils but upwards growth has stopped (stretch is over) Now they slowly get bigger untill the big swell at the end. these are about two weeks apart. Can kinda see the differnce. Then the finish pixs Sorry if I got shit a hit muddled I'm pretty high 👠Peace 👽 Headchefs indoor and outdoor adventures! - http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1289059-
As far as the yellowing I think that is damage from the past, maybe keep an eye on it and see if it's spreads too much. But this will gradually happen through flower as you are no longer feeding it nitrogen so it will show up nitrogen deficiencies as it uses the remainder nitrogen from the plant That's my opinion anyways, I'm sure someone will chime in if I'm chatting shit @[member="loki125"] this is the guy I was PM you about Peace 👽 Headchefs indoor and outdoor adventures! - http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1289059-
Some of those plants looked like they had too much water. Good water with ph monitoring as well as great soil, all you have to do is watch. Whats is your water schedule and what are your temps? I speak Celsius. get perlite as well, your tiny stones can cause you all kinds of problems, especially when they get cold or hot and have close proximity to the roots.
I would advise using different nutrients in general... Your plants look healthy just small... Mine are only a few weeks older then yours. This one is a few weeks older then yours and just started to bud aswell... These guys are about 2 1/2 months old. I would advise you to switch over to Fox Farms nutrients... I use Big bloom, Big Grow, Tiger Bloom, Open Sesame(trigers the plant to flower) beastie bloomz(helps get bigger yield) and I occasionally use kangaroots and micro brew... All are fox farms products and in my opinion work very well. I am using promix HP "soil"(it's not really a soil, it's peat moss based)
This is such a bad statement to make....the reasoning for small plants is that they had a stressful early life so was stunted most of the time. Old timers plant magic is a decent nutrient brand, designed for uk water. Peace 👽 Headchefs indoor and outdoor adventures! - http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1289059-
If you think that thenn I think you should swap nutes because mine are only 1 week older than yours...... Sorry if That came across a tad harsh but growth speeds, flower speeds, plant height is different from strain to strain and phenotype to phenotype. But your plant isn't bigger just wider. LOL You LSt'd it while mine is like 7 feet tall lol. I really didn't LST it and if I had would look the same. OP also never said his plants were stressed(other then a tad bit of yellowing) hence why I said try different nutes. I don't care if he goes FF or another brand, but from my point of view, it seems like he needs to try something different. But I could also be wrong and it could be his light schedule, or many other factors. But through his entire post the plants didn't seem to react to the nutes. So if he changed it up he might see better results.
There's so many factors to consider dude. Plus where you living coz different latitudes can make for different growing Peace 👽 Headchefs indoor and outdoor adventures! - http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1289059-
I agree, there are so many variants, that's why I said to change up nutes(or a few different ones) and test them on different plants, to see what works best for him and his conditions.
