How could the police handcuff him? Would they tie his hand to his leg or something? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

Why is a one armed person being handcuffed? It takes the tradition out of arrest, but I see it as if someone is going to being restrained with tools, there must be a need. Off to read about handcuffing laws!! hmmmm....seems in canada it's purely discretion of the officer, and falls under the usual "what's reasonable". So if the offense is minor and you pose no risk requiring restraints I recommend asking they not use cuffs.
Annicus got it In bootcamp I asked the same question, and got the same answer. Handcuffed to their belt, but if they are really putting on a fight, they will be put in leg cuffs and the handcuffs will be secured to that (hog tied). Another way is getting restrained to the inside of a duty vehicle. I've never had to use my cuffs on a one armed man, but used hospital restraints on him, luckily we had a chest harness to keep him on the bed without flopping over the side. Omega369
They shove the other half up your jacksie, good luck yanking that out in a hurry. Edit, to the above responses, what if they are wearing elasticated waist trousers/shorts? Chances are someone with one arm would prefer those type of clothes too.
When they tell him to put his hands in the air he can only raise one and he could never do a two handed slam dunk in a dunk contest. Sent from my SM-T210R using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You can't arrest a one handed man. It's against the law. Discrimination...technically. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum:blaze:
