Ideal Scrog Setup

  1. I have a 600w dimmable balast hps/mh. I have 5 femenized seeds. I am wanting to set up a scrog. I am wanting to make my scrog approx 3.5x3.5. I was thinking of planting them in an x formation I am a newbie and open to suggestions. Does this sound like a good idea

  2. I beleave it may be hard to get in there and train weave and bend the ones in middle and back. Do you have access to all sides? What is the floor plan like? Need more info to better assist you. You could do individual nets with frames so you could move them.

  3. It is a 10x 8 x10 insulated tough shed. I would ideally like to put it in the back corner of the shed. If the scrog is only 3.5 x3.5. Will I have trouble reaching g the far side if I can lean on the far walls?

  4. It can be a little difficult. My big girl is currently right around 3.5 x 3.5 in the scrog net and I definitely like being able to access 3/4 of the sides. I think you could do it though, especially if you train the stems in a way you can still get back there.

Dunno if it's going to make any difference, but maybe do a 3 x 4 net? Only .25 cu/ft space lost from 3.5 x 3.5

  5. I don't think I am that flexible.
Why a 3x4 over a square(3.5x3.5)? Are rectangles more efficient

I was just saying a 3' x 4' might make it a little easier to reach back. It's only a 6" difference, but anything can help. My arms are about 30" and add in some reaching, I can probably just get 3 feet comfortably (more so than 3.5,' even if it isn't much difference).

I'm also thinking of the lighting footprint. My cool tubes seem to have a slightly more rectangular footprint so there is that too.

Honestly it was just opinion :smoke:

  7. I have not set up my light so I am not sure I it is the same, but that is a great point. Thanks or your help!

  8. You could power it on inside and get an firsthand visual idea. I would just out of curiosity, plus I'm super hands on/visual with learning.
