I am currently growing 3 plants. One photoperiod, and two purple express autofems from freedom seeds. No pics of the photo plant right now so I will post more info about that later. Autos sprouted - July 21st. They are 3 weeks old today. Both showed sex a week and a half ago. Positive one is budding and maybe the other. I haven't used any nutes yet. I know they're burned the soil doesn't say the npk it says Canadian sphagnum peat moss, bark, dolomite lime, perlite, volcanic ash, and vermiculite. But when should I start nutes and should I use veg or flower? Also she is in the 3 gallon pot And lastly this more burned baby but she's still pushing. Can't tell if she's also flowering yet or not. She is I'm the 5 gallon pot
Well today I went and checked on the plants and they're doing better. Firstly my photoperiod plant is recovering from terrible nutes burn. Very very sensitive plant. 3 months old nute burned at 50% strength when I tried to up the dosage after using 25% nutes from 4 weeks old. My autoflower is flowering nicely at day 4 My other purple express auto is still trying to recover sadly Anything else I can do to help it recover or just give it time?
Update: Day 24 - Day 5 of flowering She is flowering very nicely, nice amount of trichomes, few pistils, and a nice dark purple color. Now this girl is starting to look up a little bit Now my question is since they were nute burned already, should I even start using nutes? I haven't yet the soil was just too hot. And lastly my photo plant. Starting to look a lot better. And I got it ghetto LST'd because I couldn't find tape and this pot is like a ceramic material so I couldn't drill a hole. I took an apple juice jug and two water bottles and filled them with dirt, I took a twisty tie and tied it around the plant, I then took a piece of fabric and put it under the cap and screwed them on. . its really ghetto rigged but it weighs them down and works!
I would go ahead and start nutes at this point.. light nutes, about 25% at first, prob start after a week. Then tweak the nutes depending how they do after a couple of days. Also, not saying your doing this but... I wouldn't feed them nutes on each watering, just because sometimes you get nute build up in the soil and when water is sucked up, there's just sediment of nutes that might cause over feeding. it looks like they are missing some potassium or some other nutrient. What kinda lights you using?
Okay thanks will do. And nope I was fertilizing every wedensday. But LOL, I'm outdoors man using the sun!
UPDATE: Day 30 - day 11 flowering Both of the babies are looking great! Not growing to full potential but they started off bad, this is my first auto grow gonna be my first actual harvest too.. LOL but I am happy. She's super frosty! Love the purple, reddish color too. And then my other baby is a little behind on bud production but no biggie. She's looking good also
