There is a form of painting called hydrographics, where you dip an item into a film of paint ontop of water. If anyone knows about this stuff, is it possible to dip my bong in this? I REALLY want a camo painted bong, and hydrographics looks like it would work. I would remove the stem and seal all holes, so the paint wont go inside. Would this work? If you do it let us know, sounds awesome! Good luck just a thought, get a glass from your cabinet to try it out on. that way it's not too much of an investment if it ends up not working.
By "wrapping" or buying a "wrapped" glass piece you can run into the problem of the glass cracking because the "wrap" will keep the glass from expanding and contracting to it's fullest.
I plasti dipped my bong base- awesome and no regrets. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I spend a lot of time at my buddys shop, Oregon Hydrographics. Yes you can dip glass. We do it all the time. One thing I would recommend is if you're gonna do it is not waiting your money on one of those diy kits, they suck. Plus it can get kind of spendy for someone who has never done it before if you want it to look right. Film is pretty expensive and would probably be less expensive to have it done right the first time.
