Badly Curling/deformed Seedling Leaves Help

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by thecannabliss, Aug 13, 2014.

  1. Hey, I just started this seedling off with bagseed, and it's growing at an okay rate, but the leaves are really badly twisted and deformed looking, they seem to be getting worse as it ages, I have another 3 plants in the same soil and everything, no fertilizer or anything, and they're growing beautifully, any ideas why this plants doing this?

  2. My guess is trying to escape... you've got sticks, leaves and looks to be gravel or clay as a medium.

What is your medium? It looks like mud.
Haha Insider we are on the ball today :p

  4. Class is in session. Haaha

  5. I don't think it's the soil as it's from a garden hence the sticks and shit ahaha, and the others are growing fine in it? But I suppose it could be 😁

  6. Do you have the means to buy good soil?

  7. If you have money to go buy soil which is only $10 for 3 gallons -$22 for 11 gallons of FFOF where I live then go get it and transplant your seedlings into it before it dies lol it is 100% the soil no doubt about that

  8. Be careful throwing it straight into ffof if you do decide to transplant it. I recommend getting something like promix to cut it with so you don't burn the plant or add to its shock. A 50/50 mix is OK unless you plan on feeding it nutes then I would recommend some thing more like 65-70 promix / 30-35 ffof. Good luck and keep us posted!

  9. Your gonna hear different things about FFOF but I have started my seedlings in it with no problems just start them off in smaller containers use the red solo cups and it should be fine then transplant into the bigger containers you already have :) or if your really worried about burning them I would get happy frog from fox farm it's meant for seedlings

  10. Yeah triilife is right. I usually play it safe and cut with promix because ffof is inconsistent with its strength but you could be ok just planting it straight. I just worried for it already being stressed.

  11. Hazer is right also I wasn't thinking lol with your seedling already being so stressed hold off on the fox farm it will provably kill them but use the lighter mix for seedlings if you do decided to transplant
