120/208V 3 Phase

  1. I am trying to find out if I am limited on the type of digital ballasts I can use with this type of power coming in.

    Does anyone have some insight?

  2. I believe that's the kind most generators have. Look for digi ballasts that say "generator ready" or generator compatible. I would think you could run most 120v digi ballasts on there fine. Obviously asking the manufacturer would be the sure bet.

  3.
Is this typical power of a generator? Only reason I ask is because I have never seen it.

  4. I have not worked with many generators so without some research, I can't say what's truly "typical" but I have seen it.

I know this is old, but the solution isn't posted. Every electronic balast I have ever seen will work well with 208v. you can use the 120v leg with a neutral, just the same as you would in a household, or you can use 2 legs for 208v. yes they make 208v generators the same they make generators for every other voltage, typicly 208v generaters will be large.
