Greetings Everyone:

I finally got some high grade MM, legally of course, but I don't want to smoke it because of harmful carcinogens. Also, I am having a hard time locating a high quality Vaporizer. I want to make Canna-Butter or some other kind of healthy Cannabis inspired food but unsure how. Please advise the healthiest way to use MM, and please advise a the best Vaporizer on the market today.

Thanks in advance - I really appreciate all the great help and advise.

Ray

edibles :yummy:

3. There is a ton of info on google about how to make edibles. Also, you can google which is the best vape. Good luck to you sir.

4. I've done searches and google stuff, with few results.

1. How harmful is it to smoke a Joint? Smoke MJ in general ... Lung damage?
2. Best & most reliable Vaporizer? Link?
3. Quickest {and healthiest} way to cook and make an edible? Low fat butter? Low fat Brownies?

Thanks.

5. you can get a decent water pipe until you locate a vaporizer. the fact of the matter is that you really wont be smoking that much. most people don't smoke weed like tobacco users smoke. you are inhaling burning chemicals/plant matter either way vaporizer or not. I am worried you make cannabutter and way over do it because it sounds like you have never used it before.

6. 1. Joints are the worst because you add in that paper plus it has no way of being filtered. still not crazy harmful unless you smoke 40 a day
2. Volcano's are the best you can get
3. Thc is only soluble through fat. you wont really find low fat edible recipes.

7. Edibles. fire crackers are super easy and effective.

8. There is no "best" vaporizer. Everybody has their preferences for what they want. The volcano may be good but its like 600 dollars. There are plenry of other vaporizers that are liked more than the volcano and for fractions of the cost. I use the arizer solo its portable and 160. Some will come through recommending log vapes such as underdog or the hammer. You have options of the arizer extreme which fills up bags and has a direct draw unlike the volcano for like 190-230. If money is no issue then you can try the sublimator though. It is supposed to be a good vape.

9. Cannabis only smokers have slightly better lung function and no higher risk of lung cancer or emphysema than non-smokers.

when you smoke you are actually vaporizing the plant just in a hotter fashion( the herb vaporizes at the edge of combustion and the molecular compounds follow the path of air drawn from within your lungs) , so smoking is not much different than vaping just that with vaping you do not get the plant matter up to combustion point thereby eliminating combustion by products entering your delicate lung cavity. tests have shown that cannabis has healing properties that offset most damage from combustion of clean cannabis but you still absorb the nasty fertilizer residues if grown improperly.

an extreme Q is a good vaporizer

look at green dragon for a tincture of cannabis. it is a good way to medicate without burning anything or using heat at all for extraction.

Just recently got an underdog..I am seriously loving it. Mine is a dark brown one that's made out of walnut..gets me so incredibly baked.

13. I just made my first batch of canna butter. Here is my recipe ...
1. 2 glass water
2. 235 grams of hardened stick regular butter
3. About 20 grams of Cannabis
4. slow boil on medium to high for about 30 minutes
4. Strained it coffee strain cloth

This recipe did not make much at all ...

The mixture looks yellow, not very green.

Put in the Frig.

Did I cook this correctly ?

Can I use low fat butter? ( I have high cholesterol ).

No, you can't use "low fat butter". You need either fats/oil, or alcohol, or glycerin to extract the THC and other cannabinoids. "Low fat butter" is basically water, butter and some sort of chemical stabilizer. THC does NOT dissolve in water! Use olive oil, coconut oil, hemp seed oil or any other oil.

Now, although inhaling any kind of smoke is bad for your lungs, cannabis smoke is very different than tobacco smoke!

2. Best & most reliable Vaporizer? Link?

"Best" is a matter of opinion.  I like my little, old-fashioned "Vapor Brothers Hands-Free"- I've had it for over 10 years and it still works fine. It is silent, no moving parts and, on its side, it fits in a desk drawer. I prefer the whip style vape because I don't need to get bags for it, and if I get a phone call while vaping, it just sits and waits until I'm back. My hubby has a knack of snagging cords with his feet, and the VB has been dropped MANY times, yet still keeps on working!    http://www.vaporbrothers.com/pages/products/vaporizers.html

3. Quickest {and healthiest} way to cook and make an edible? Low fat butter? Low fat Brownies?

See BadKitty's recipes! Now, I need to talk to you about oils a bit, not all of them are bad for your health! And you do NEED some oil in your diet, or your hair and skin will get dried out and you'll soon look older than your years!

Judging from your several mentions of "low fat" , I suspect you are trying to lose weight and put on muscle. Do you know that some fats can help you lose weight? Omega 3s, as an example, help your body to burn fat faster! :hello:

Look, if I explain the Omega 3 thing properly, this will be a VERY long post! Will you just take my advice and get a big bottle of fish oil and take a double dose every day?  Walmart has it cheap- $10 will get you a big bottle.

But here is one reason you should take Omega 3 besides it helping you lose weight, after a month or two of use, you start getting higher! :smoking: The reason why this works is that the Omega 3 is needed to make the THC receptors (CB1 receptors) in your brain, but it takes a while to replace the old, defective ones! These articles are about what happens to your mental processes when you lack Omega 3. What you need to know is that "getting high" is a "cannabinoid receptor function"!

15. but smoking it is  a very bad habite

16. Google and this forum are your friend.  If your worried about carcinogens, vaping is pretty much the bomb.  You can find pretty much all the info you need on the vaporizing thread.  You'll find more than enough options and opinions there :)

I agree about the Cannabutter, it is super easy to overdose and feel horrible. Take your time and start slow with everything.  You can always up the dose but you can't take it back.  Plus edibles take a while to kick in, sometimes up to two hours (depending on how quickly you digest things) so the effects aren't immediate, it'll creep in slow and then WHAM your medicated.

Vaping is fasting acting, discrete and you are super aware how to personalize your dosage

17. Not sure if a reply to this thread is the right place for this. Talking about cancer and other things not really being a risk of marijuana consumption.

I've not smoked very much weed. There's a chance that I have some heart problems, namely arrhythmia. Nothing's been diagnosed yet though, and it's kind of hard to say if it's not connected to my panic attacks, because when I like I am right now there's always a dose of anxiety that goes along with it (again, just like right now).

I'm concerned about this.

18. Anyone who has anxiety/high blood pressure may experience an increased heart rate or palpatations, according to my dispensary.

Eating marijuana tends to produce a stronger and much longer-lasting high than smoking it.  As you know the effects of smoked marijuana can be felt within seconds, but those who eat cannabis, the effect can be felt much later.
