Well this is my first grow journal. I bought my seeds from MJSEEDSCANADA.COM. I planted three of their strain called Dutch Treat. They were started with the wet all natural no added chemical paper towels and distilled water. I put mine in a bpa free plastic container and put that on a heat mat with a changeable thermometer. After they germinated they were put into Fox Farm Light Warrior Seed Starter with Humic Acid. After about a month I plant them in a mixture of 2 parts Fox Farm Ocean Fresh(two cubic feet) and one part Light Warrior Potting Soil(one cubic foot) or one cubic foot of Fox Farm Happy Frog. The soil would be way to "hot" for the small plants. At that stage they are still very sensitive. I also add about 2 gallons of large course perlight(volcanic.glass that is used for drainage and water.retention. It is a medical strain.I am in the middle of setting up my grow room. I painted it with mildew/mold protected paint. I installed the supports on the ceiling that the ratchets will be anchored to. The HGT Supply 6" 400watt MH/HPS fixture with a dimmable balast will be hung from one or both of the 2x6 boards that are screwed into the studs with galvanized 3" screws. I have the three plants under a 150 watt cfl thats about a foot long. Too much heat and I think I cooked the tips of a plant. They are about a month old. I will have the ducting done by the end of the weekend so I can put them in the grow closet. I wanted to start them off befor they go under the Metal Halide bulb. I am.so excited. I have several t5 fixtures that I will use for under the canapy of the tree plants. I have a 100cfm duct fan to cool the light. I have a 190cfm fan with a muffler and a carbon filter. I need to keep it quiet when company comes and no smell. I am off to Lowes or Home Depot they both give a veterans discount. I will buy 25 ' of 6" duct and some plastic to seal the carpet. I am.cutting a hole in the side of my house for the exhaust and intake. The intake for the room has a speed control and the light fan will be on at the same speed all the time to regulate the heat. I will update I am off to bed.

  2. I sprayed the three plants in the top picture with protekt to help.with the heat. I usually only use this box until they are a month old then they go under the lights in the closet.

  4. I started my own journal under indoor, organic auto. Its called Franklin's Tower Journal#1. If any one can look at these plants. What in the f@$& happened. My wife had to water and lower the shelf and keep the temp right for the past 5 days because I was in the hospital. The first pic and the tallest one has a deficiency that looks like a calmag fix. Let me know what else. The second I think got to hot and burned the tip. Let me know if I missed anything. The third I cant see a problem. Can any of the seasoned vets help me. Thanks

  5. I got it up and running. The drill was too powerful. Milwaukee holehog will rip your arm off if it hits something and the holesaw doesnt move. I am going out side and cutting the holes. Have the intake and exhaust in one area. The exhaust has a 190cfm varible speed fan with a carbon scrubber so the smell stays in the closet. The duct fan is "jimmy"rigged just to cool off the light. I will be almost done tomorrow. The wife comes back from seeing her family on the border of canada.and maine.

Thanks. I will have it finished tomorrow. How far away should the MH & HPS be. They are set back in the fixture already. I think a foot and a half to two is good. I love to learn and this topic really interest me. I was blessed with the allowance each month to improve the setup. My wife is very generous. Lol. I have to mount the filter inside the closet still.with a muffler. That duct fan is loud. The 4" is for the filter and 190cfm . I am.connecting them to the muffler with 4"-6" and a splitter . Should make it much quieter. I need a speed control on my intake because our winters are brutal and cold. I am remembering my days as an apprentence electrician and watching my Dad for so long. More pics tomorrow.

Any suggestions where to put a 4 bulb and a 2 bulb t5 fixtures. The door to the closet, I was thinking about putting the 4 bulb on the inside of the door I ran out of reflective paper. I just don't want a ton of wires. The bad thing is I have three different makers of fixtures so the daisy-chains wont work.on all. Next time buy the same maker. The best ones are the fixtures that have plastic over the bulb so if something touches the plastic no burn. The whole room is being turned into a grow area. Im.going to grow vegetables in the winter months. I love fresh herbs and spices so im building stations around the room. I will have a compost bin with red worms. This has sparked an interest to learn and build and now its on fire. Lol. I cant wait I am trying LST on these so they all get even light. I am.saving some.from.each plant in a CVault and letting it cure. I heard it gets even better with age, like a good wine. We will see. My favorite is the white widow. That has some energetic qualities. I need to buy more containers from 420.com. Its the best place for great strong great quality glass pop top or screw top. I bought a sample set and it came with a sun blocking container about a pint, a clear glass one thats seems same size as the sun blocker one. Then I got a small one. Great for keeping some ground up of each kind. All these containers.have a place.to use dry erase markers on them. Strain, thc%,cbd% etc. They have a guarantee that if a container breaks you pay shipping only to.get it replaced. Since I.cant work.a.real.job, I need.something.

  10. Well I got everything ducted and filtered except the exhaust. I will.do.that probably thursday. I have to open the wall close to the floor for the intake and I will have to move everything out so the babies just got transplanted and need a day of good light. I will never grow with just cfls again. Omg they grow quick. :'( .

  11. I feel like a train hit me. I was determined though. Well I have the 5300k MH in with a 190cfm fan pulling air in from a carbon filter I screwed the fan to a stud then anchored the other side. I have a muffler but it was beginning to look like a cluster f¥©&. It has little.to no sound out side. I have bushes that are tall on the side of my house im cutting up. I do have a Co2 with a regulator. I am building something for the clip fans. I carry my plants into the bathroom next door to water them. In the fall im ripping out the rug and putting in a tub with a drain that goes out side. I found some organic nute it is used for blight for tomatoes and bottom rot on the fruit. Looks like its all right to use for the girls. I added a bit in with my new mix that I transplanted for the last time. They are in 5 gallon smart pots, least chance for.over water. I dislike plastic pots. I use them only to grow from seed. If they had a, 2 cup.smart pot id buy it. I love them. Lol O:)

Also if you want to see how I tied her down for tips and stuff just ask in my thread and I will explain and add the older pics from when I did it 👍

Just thought this plant could be a quick lesson for everyone asking about LST in the last few weeks 😁

I didnt know I was doing a journal until a week ago so I think the three plants are a month old. The discoloration and drainage problem is fixed. They look beautiful and bright green. I am a Reiki Practitioner so I also give my plants Reiki. Its just energy we all have and all living things love it. I am very, how should I put this im not a "tree hugger", I like.organic things, all natural. I watered them.and transplanted them for the second and last time. I usually only do it once because of how fragile cannabis is and transplanting anything will make it go into shock. So I did it before I turned the lights on remembering to wet the soil before I start the transplant process. Smartpots ESPECIALLY need to have the soil wet, not damp dripping water from your hand if you grab some with your hand. Water helps with shock. I fill my smart pots with something I mixed myself using many organic ingredients. I like to have all natural nutrients, like fish meal, earthworm, bat guano etc. Then you get your nice compost.you had baking for the past two years, Its full of nightcrawlers because of the perfect balance....... and im out of my dream. Lol. I will.see how this mix goes.if good I will post. I dont want to give some bunk info on how to make crappy soil. I special order my perlite online and its large size. I also use a.good.organic medium. Organic means more natural less human interference. Lol

  15. All good, but don't wet the soil before you transplant dude, much easier and half the amount of stress on the plants roots and the plant in general doing it dry :)

Keep up the good work dude 👍
