Anyone have any experience with dual spectrum bulbs? I'm running a 1000 watt hps bulb right now and I was thinking about getting a dual spectrum bulb instead. Anyone else done this and have any input on whether I should? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I would advice against it unless you have monetary reasons againt separate bulbs. I'm sure that MH amd HPS are more efficient for their specific spectrums as dual spec only have 500w for 2700k and 500w for 6500k. (I believe this is how they work - never used them myself, perhaps we can get someone with experience)
They are 600 watts hps and 400 watts metal halide, I don't have room for another hood and ballast right now. I would still be using a 1000 watt mh for veg just wondering if I should switch to dual arc for flowering in running autos by the way Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I have a duel spectrum that is adjustable. It can run at 250, 400 and 600 watts in either MH or HPS. I've had it for two years and like it, but never tested the output to see if it's as good as advertised; although it produces great bud!
