1St Grow. [Paradise] Auto White Berry And [Nirvana] Auto Bubblelicious

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by No.Name, Aug 9, 2014.

  1. I'm currently at day 14 from planting the seed and they're starting to look pretty nice but i'm sure they're a bit short for their age. Grow room is as follows,

    2.5' x 4' x (3' - 4.5' slope)  - Veg tent [while no smell].
    2' x 2' x 6' - actual tent [for carbon filter etc]

    I have
    60w cfl 6500k
    125w cfl 6500k and reflector
250w magnetic ballast [budget ebay but feels quality enough]
    250w hps bulb and reflector
    6" desk usb fan
    4 gallon pots x 2 [from seed]
    Biobizz all mix soil
    4" fan 137m^3/h [exhaust]
4" inline 14w fan [intake from outside]

about to buy a MH for veg -> flower crossover just incase one plant is ahead of the other.

Currently run on a 24/0 cycle as advised by the local grow shop

Temps have been hitting about 82F and as low as 67F and leaves of one have started rising up at the ends slightly but fixed that with the usb desk fan [which i had anyway]

I'll upload some pictures later from day 1 up :)

  2. Subbed up man, also got a bubbalicous auto just finishing up.
If need any help shout me, have some more autos starting in a few weeks.

Be interested to see how the white berry does, I almost ordered some berry seeds the other day.

  3. Oh how high is your light above your plants?
Becareful if you get that leaves problem, its usually to do with heat or light being too close.

They've been under the 125w CFL since about day 5 and are about 3 - 4 inches above the canopy. The bulbs are cold to touch [like, room temperature cold] so should be okay. It was just due to a heat wave of 30 degrees C outside in the UK and everyones have been the same apparently.

I've read through your 2nd grow of these mate and have to say they were looking pretty good.

    Now for some pictures.

Whiteberry is at the back, bubblelicious is closest to the door. Therefore theres more pictures of the bubble

    I'll call this day 1.
This is after 24 hours in water to sink, then 24 hours in moist paper towels. Then put in soil for 28 hours so technically it's day 3/4 but i'll call it one.

I've removed the metadata from the pictures so my GPS location can't be tracked and in the process i've managed to remove the dates. So for now heres a rough time lapse thing.

Unsure whether to start feeding or not. The guy at the store said for the first one just go with an organic bloom in a couple weeks and then the next time put root fungi granules and a veg spray? Anyhow, i'll do these 2, then i'll be potting a delicious seeds northern light blue auto in about a month. Have to sort out the dates of when they'll start to smell and haven't got enough room in my flower tent for 3 :)

    Also..

About these not auto flowering? Has that been solved yet do you think? I don't fancy having to split them up into 12/12 and 24/0 separates. I guess if that happened I could put the 24/0 in with the baby and have a MH on, then the HPS with the 12/12.

  6.
Hold fire on any feeding for a good few weeks, go very easy on the watering.
I'd say water every 5 or 7 days at the moment, you soil will have alot of goodness in it for at least 3 or 4 weeks maybe longer.

So are your currently seedlings autos or normal photosense plants?

They're both fem autos. Kind of wishing now i'd gone with a fem photo and took cuttings and had 8/9 small plants and a mother instead of 2 small-medium ones. Then I could harvest the mother and re-veg? Sounds like it could be quicker from harvest to harvest if the plant's root system and stems are already there. [not sure if that's true] It's only a personal grow for me and my girlfriend anyway so shouldn't make much difference. Haven't watered for about 4/5 days and the soil's still moist so seem to be on track. I had a stage of feeding every other day at the start and recon that could have stunted the root growth a bit knowing a bit more now than before. Either way they seem small for their age from what i've seen online. i'll keep everyone updated :)

They're currently auto at 24/0.. i hope, if they fail to auto they'll have been photo plants with no sleep. All the non autoing journals i've seen have been from years ago though so they should have fixed it by now.

  8. I have a gws that went 8 weeks inside never auto so I put her outside she has about 4 weeks to go now but she smells so good lol

  9. Just a quick thought...I have a berry white non auto tho and it packs on some mass at the end of flowerg...I'll show a pic...with autos...I always run them at 12 /12 for about 3 weeks...it forces them all to flower then I switch back to 24 hr or 18/6 never had an issue switching back...once they start to flower they just explode with growth

You learn alot in your first grow belive me, I wished I started with autos rather then a photo plant.
I had x5 photo plants all pop soil on me and in the end only one plant made to harvest but was good learning experience.

Yes is quicker if you can buy clones plants from someone, speed whole process up alot.
My current autos are two weeks to finishing and they have been growing 3 months.

I'll be surprised if your autos don't flower, you just have to be careful when you switch your lights over to the 250w hps.
Try to have the 250w light roughly a good few foot above the plants and see how your plants deal with the light.
Then slowly every few days lower the light slightly down closer to tops of your plants, but don't go any lower then 12" over
the plants.  Am in the UK too and the temps have been crazy high the last few weeks, i'm running my lights at night
at the moment as slightly cooler. Don't let your tent get any hotter then 30c, I'd try and get it around 25c if you can.
I think your roughly growing in the same size tent I have, I found the tents to be very hard to keep cool.

I've never done 24/0 lighting so can't as such advise on that, but you may want to consider 18/6 lighting I found even
auto plants needed alittle rest from light. But other people have different views, I've been on 12/12 due fact I had photo
plant growing when my autos were started. My autos stretched alot as my light was't close enough to them at the start,
but considering I've not really beeing giving at much attention as I should of they are doing ok.

My upcoming 3rd grow I'm gonna try again with some autos and this time lst them and put them in bigger 3gallon pots.

I'm guessing but my current two autos are't gonna harvest more then 20gramish this time,
but next time I want to aim for at least an oz of each plant.

Good info, I my have to do the 18/6 on my next auto grow.
12/12 to start with then switch to 18/6, my current autos have been on 12/12 the whole time but had reason for that.

  13. 24 hr. Lighting is good for mothers...some autos (will continue explosive growth rate)..or any strain to really keep growing slow but healthy...18/6 works for any auto I've grown (about 15 different strains) and any photo period plant that you want to veg...at least in my experience

  14. I'm assuming that you have photo period plants in flowering phase with your autos...I've done the same but I take my photos out give them 12 hours dark and leave the autos under the light for another 6 hrs. I'll show you a pic of a northern lights by royal queen that I kept on 12/12 for 4weeks...it was the smallest out of all the other autos I was running (about 12 strains at the time) after I put the lights on 18/6 it exploded with growth like all the others did but surpassed them in calyx to leaf ratio and size...every auto I've ran does well on 12/12 until about wk. 3 or 4 tops then switch and sit back watch the explosive growth...I've grown them seed to harvest 12/12 and the yield isent near as good

  15. I do however prefer 24/0 for autos when you clone them at least until it is rooted then 18/6...let me clarify I only do 12/12 from seed to induce flowering no matter what...I've never had a problem with a clone auto flowering so I do clones 18/6 1 after rooted and 12/12 from seed to induce flowering and the explosive growth usually associated with the light switch...clone autos are usually no more than 2/3 the size of the parent but not always the case

    Ah ok.

  19. It's actually surprising how much these have grown in the last 2 days

    Day 16

Actually thinking the harvest may actually pay for the bill of growing.
Hoping for 15 - 20g from each of them due to the 24/0 cycle bill.
Any more would be amazing but as autos i'm not sure what to expect
