Been giving just water for a while and the one I think is the bubblelicious (the tall one) is losing quite a few fan leaves. The bubblelicous smokes pretty well, my plant hermied in the last few weeks so had a few seeds it. But has been curing for good few months now, it smells amazing when ground up very berry sort of smell. But in my jar it just smells almost like tea to some degree. Smokewise in a joint, its pretty mellow but is a creeper not much in the way of taste. Vaping slightly different and you get the full flavour from it, but seriously kicks in after a bowl.
I have no idea mate, you seem more experienced with this than me I'm guessing since the bigger one [bubblelicious?] is still producing pistols and fattening its bud sites up to fill in the internode spacing it has a good 4-6 weeks left [a long time]. The indica looking plant [white berry?] seems to be almost done with a 70% cloudy/30% clear trichome ratio. Going to wait until 5% are orange and then chop the main cola off [its developing faster than the rest i believe] and wait a week or 2 for the rest to catch up while I dry and cure the main cola. Then the rest will get the chop 2 weeks later, and then 2 weeks after that i'll bring down the other plant [bubblelicious]. At day 66 [half an hour ago] I flushed the white berry indica plant with the shower head and probably put about 60l of water through it a bit at a time waiting for runoff and got the water almost clear. Now for the final week I feel it needs: I will just water as usual and straight to drying. My guess: Short 5/6 days? Tall 4-6 weeks?
They seem to have slowed growing the last 2/3 days. I picked a bud about 2 1/2" tall 3 days ago and quick dried it in the oven at 80 degrees for 3 hours. Rather intense high even without maximum Thc production and now they're twice as frosty and a bit bigger so looking forward to harvest time. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Day 76. 01:00am update (pictures from day 75 ~14:00) The purple shades coming through are stunning. Just water feeding for the last week and week coming up. You recon less than a week left? Hoping so as I'm getting desperate to start drying and curing now took 4.7g of quick dried weight off it so far. Still rather moist on the branches but buds were crumbly so I'd guess that if left to mature and dry properly it would have totalled about 3.5g. Day 81. 2:30. Removed the top main cola/bud in order to provide light to the next down 2 buds. The top was ready to harvest and doesn't look as impressive as it did with the 2 below attached (close nodes so looked like one big bud) but a couple leaves had shrivelled and a couple started to fall off. 90% cloudy trichomes and around 3-5% orange so it was time to be removed. Emptied a wardrobe and hung it to dry for a few days. When I watered them sunday I noticed that there are thousands of springtails in each plant pot but since I have a baby still vegging in there I don't want to start cleaning and evacuating the tent just yet. I'll bin bag and remove of the soil of these 2 when done and bleach the pots to remove the f****rs, and only grow the baby in a scrog. I guess they're not doing any harm where they are for now. If anyone has advice on what kills them I'll be happy to give it a go as long as it doesn't damage the plants. (Or me and housemates) Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Wow! Awesome first grow! I didn't read through your entire journal, did you top/fim/supercrop these babies? I've never seen autos that bushy, and was always told that trellising techniques didn't do much for autos.
Just lst mate. The bushy one is the white berry auto and kind of looks after itself. Harvested it yesterday. Got a tad of bud rot on one of the buds and harvested it just in time to only lose about 2g. Cut out all of it and got a return of the top left and directly below it, and the extras in the tub. No idea how much is there but there's still some left on the plant to finish maturing. Bubblicious has similar or maybe higher yields by the look of it. Final ROUGH TRIM yield of white berry. 62.8g + 6-7g smoked in the last 2/3 weeks. Total yield of around 70 grams, or 2.5 oz. Expecting to lose about 10-15g in trim so around 2 oz bud. Like the sound of making some rather nice cakes later. Can't wait Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Impressive final yield! What sort of flavour your getting when smoking? Make sure you cure it for a good month or so, it will get better and better.
I've not updated this straight away as it's had 7/8 days of drying (50-60%RH @ 26 degrees) then just over two weeks of curing so far. Have around 2 oz left of bubblicious and an oz of white berry. White berry is a rather bland taste but it's a killer stone. Females get aroused a lot with it, and it's an energy drainer and couch lock high. Subtle blueberry taste when vaped. Bubblicious i've found to have a strong bubblegummy/fruity/berry smell too and is much more red coloured with slightly less Thc production. Tastes as it smells with it being very fruity and medium potency. Strong berry taste when vaped. Ideal rolls consist of around 50% whiteberry, 30% bubblicious, 10% tobacco and 10% keif. Not regretting the months of work at all.
