You want a great yield with autos you better lst for sure my gws is almost done expecting 1.5 to 2 zip off her tied down
I 2nd that...they really have a stretch at start of flowering...I have some in 1/2 gal. Poly bags and they're 2 1/2 @ 38 or 39 days now...wished I would have trained them more Sent from my SPH-L900 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Ill get on later and post a lst pic unless headchef beats me to it his is perfection mine is slacked but I think with great outcome
And this is only an ok job notice instead of one main cola there are several when @[member="Headchef"] pops through he can show you a great example
I'm kind of updating this a little too often but the growth per day always surprises me even though it's minimal. I think after waiting 2 weeks now too see any drastic change above the surface, i'm just excited to see how it turns out. Day 18 (mid afternoon). Can't see any real stretching happening so pleased on that front. Todays weather has been sunny until now and i've been busy but noticed my temps rise to 82F and the edges start to curl on my bubblelicious. The whiteberry seems much more hard wearing and just gets on with growing. I've since dialled my fans up to full power and it soon came down. I'll start working on a temperature sensor arduino relay setup for the next grow.
about an 85% chance. The guy at the grow shop earlier managed to sell me some organic plant magic bloom and said there's not much difference between that and grow and it can be used all the way through if needed on a budget for a first time so that starts next feed at 1/4 dose I think. 1ml to 1l instead of 2-4ml. I have a screen [pound shop chicken wire fence thing] so could scrog it and train it that way, or just tie it down with string to the edges of the pots in a circular fashion as described many times around the internet. I definitely like the look and sound of the 2 main colas but forgot how to do it in all my research. Isn't it just, snap off the newest growth at the top of the plant in order to make the ones below grow more? I recon spiral LST would work better with my 250hps, better light distribution and what not. You recon start training soon then?
I start really early lol but yeah give it a go but you can not top or fim these plants. They are autos so top and fim slow growth to much with lst and that 250 you should get a great harvest
I started LST about 36 hours ago by bending the main stem to the outside in a way that the light will bend it in a spiral shape itself. The main stem is already thickening fast. I'll get some hooks and rope to tie it properly tomorrow. Here's day 20. Switching to the MH in 2/3 days (before I leave to reading), and i'll feed with plant magic when doing a big watering then too. Should see it shoot up a lot in the next week or so.
Feeding them tomorrow, then i'll give them a good soaking and let the water run off on wednesday morning before heading off for a week. As for LST that week, looks like i'm not going to be able to really, i'll get them tied down a bit before and leave their ropes slack while i'm gone and hopefully have a forest like canopy when I return. My MH bulb should be here monday or tuesday [phillips hpi-t 250w or something like that, heard good things about it], that way even if they begin flowering they'll cope for a few days with it. Here's what we have so far. 00:01 of Day 22
For the next grow i've been thinking about going for power plant - dutch passion, and just having the one photo under the 250w in a 4 gallon pot. Anyone have any experience with power plant in soil indoor 250w grows or recon they know any tastier and/or better yielding alternatives? Thanks.
9 hours after the last picture! Just fed them and wondering why the bubblicious is looking so sad. Also found a tiny hole on the 2nd up set of leaves. Any help would be appreciated, thanks Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Major update. I broke my 125w cfl, so put them under the 60w while I went to the grow shop. He said put them under the hps now, until the metal halide came. So I did Then this morning my MH bulb came I then checked them (2:45am) and the ones showing pistols and they're growing nice and strong. It's like porn. But better. Any guesses to the yield? Also. Fed them yesterday with 5ml to 5l (used 1.5l per plant, some left) and sprayed them with plant magic evolution spray to make more bud sites. The fan leaves are a lot more stiff and happy than they were in their droopy 125w home.
Watered with 3.5l each water and about a litre of runoff, left that there to raise humidity. Tried the MH for 2 days and the temps just wouldn't go lower than 85 even when raised fully. Left under the HPS for a week while at reading. Renuted 2 days ago, watered as stated this morning and they're looking a bit limp but could be the large amount of water. Will be fine when I'm back. Left a mop bucket full of clean water in the tent for humidity. All fans on. We'll see how it goes next Tuesday. All pics are from yesterday afternoon Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Pictures from yesterday. Got back from reading and was pleasantly surprised that they were both alive and well. A lot of the lower leaves were tangled so I pulled some of the branches downwards to make bigger gaps and may have snapped off one of the branches. I put that one in the ground hoping it will still produce but as an auto I'm really kicking myself. More growth can be given to the other bud sited higher up now I'm guessing so it's not a total travesty. Still haven't started lst due to not being here to check on the string tension. Lst begins. If my calculations are correct then it should be around day 34. About half way through and they look pretty damn impressive imo. Another snap, this time I'll leave it to heal itself. The grow shop says he's stuck them together with tape before and they've healed. Still bugs me that some growth time will be hindered with repair time now. Also set them to 20/4 last night so keeping them at that for the last few weeks. If they decide to fail auto flowering (stay photos, doubt they will since there are preflowers anyway) then it's less stress to go 12/12 etc etc. for now I like 20/4.
1:30am day 35. All tied down and showing about 25 decent bud sites at roughly the same light intensity one the white berry. Bubbly running behind at about 7/8. I'll see what they're like tomorrow and post updates on a daily basis. Too many blogs and strain reviews aren't very detailed so this will be as extensive as possible.
