  4. Damn that's a toad!  Reminds me of the fatty smallmouth at lake san antonio.

Bass fisherman right here!  Both salt and fresh.. you can see many of my catches in the o-fish-all pics thread.

Nice to see a bass-exclusive thread. Love bass fishing!

  5. bass fishing... idk. was fun when i was a kid 'cause you're pretty much guaranteed to catch a few.

they don't taste that great in my opinion. and they're a pretty lazy species of fish.

stripers are a little different, but not much.

  6. Man bass fishing is so fuckin awesome how could you not like it haha nothing like an 8 lb bucketmouth

  7. all it takes is dropping a lure right in front of the bass - i like hitting a hatch just right and catching big trout in the eddy.

although once i caught a 3-4lb bass on my 5/6wt fly rod. that was actually a little challenging. to put that in perspective, a 16 inch trout feels almost like a striper on that rod.

  8. Man I was the bass master when I was younger haha. I had mastered the art of fishing with soft plastics and could catch a fish any time, anywhere.. I've caught several in the 5-7lb range with my biggest being 7lb 10oz. I got into catfishing really serious a few years ago and have lost my mojo for bass these days though.

  9. Bass is the best kind of fishing last year caught a 10.6 lb large mouth, wish I had the pic but its on my bros phone!

  10. Still love to bass fish. the kids love it but they also go in their swim suits to hit the ponds and wrastle alligator snappers so I am just nervous enough not to focus on strikes.

  11. small mouth bass are anything but lazy. I caught a 22 inch smallie that jumped 5 times in the process of landing them.
Biggest large mouth I have caught weighed 7 pounds. In Minnesota thats a big bass. In southern states not so much.

I would not feel bad catching a 7 lb'er any day anywhere!

  13.
that would be a good bass here in maine. a friend of mine mounted an 8.5lb'r.

i'm just saying they don't travel much. they stay in one body of water (for the most part).

and they get quite sluggish in the heat.

  14. Striped bass for the win! Those babies will make your rods double over! Now if only I could find out how to post a pic...

  15. Love smallmouth bass. I hammer em on craw color tubes. Even started to pour my own jigs to keep the cost down. On a recent trip i got a couple 19 inchers on the susquehanna.

  16. I eat whatever float up when I chuck the arc welder inna lake I don't PARTICULARLY BASS fish?

...throws the damn breaker every time!?!

  17. A frriend of mine and I were fishing the susquehanna river around the endicot area and caught over 60 smallies using brown mister twister on jigs. The susquehanna has a lot of good fishing and all kinds of fish.

  18. The brown will do it every time. I fish the Harrisburg area myself. Even the small bass I catch put up a nice fight.
