First time growing, I have a 180w led in a 1x1x5 box for now. I have two autoflowering strains: 1) red poison 2) dark devil. They're on a 24hr light cycle and the ph is around 6. The red poison is 2.5 weeks old now and the dark devil is 1.5 weeks old. The red poison is yellowing a lot and both are not stretching even a bit the light is about 2.5ft away from the plants was curious if im doing something wrong or its okay for them to be like that?
Reel in the light about half a mile. Your soil seems kind of poor or have root issues from lack of drainage. You need autos to grow very fast to get a good yield. Its like an egg timer you have so much time to get them to size or you can end up with stunted runt plants that yield a joint or a bong hit. Get some better lighting, some CFL lights to add to what you have. I grow autos under a 1,000w, I dont think they do well with lesser lights, they need all they can get.
I have a cfl light about 6in from the tops of them, theyre growing incredibly slow then the last time when I only used cfls lights. What would you say the optimal led height should be?
Its not a super high powered LED but 2.5 feet is a long ways for any light. Drop it down to a foot to a foot and a half max. I run 1,000w HPS 12-18 inches so you are not going to burn plants with the led. good luck, autos are fun when they get going good.
Alright thanks, I originally had the led about a foot away for the first week and it showed progress until the second week the first seedling seemed stunted so I moved it up. It's growing more leaves but just not gaining any height Sent from my SM-P900 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
