I don't see much wrong with a blind person owning a gun for home defense or something. You don't have to be able to see a burglar to shoot them, necessarily.

Some things are self-explanatory, but I guess when you have people on a website who actually AGREE with such insanity, you have to spell it out. No, the New York Daily News, and the person who started this thread, do not think that blind people should be given guns to fight crime.
What's wrong with a blind person owning a gun for home defense? They can still tell where you are without seeing you. I feel like they're one of the vulnerable subsets of people who really should have guns for protection.
Remind me come hunting season to never hunt anywhere within a 500 mile radius of where you live. Seeing exactly what it is you are shooting at is rule #1 of responsible gun ownership, in my book at least.
I do wonder what constitutes being actually "blind". Color blind, completely blind, partial, etc. Or just dont give them bullets. Or guns. Thats also just one persons opinion, not necessarily the whole of the NRA.
this is the real.issue. Laws like these are redundant. Its already illegal to be reckless and endanger people, so if a blind.man shoots a gun yes probly guilty anyway. Unless youre blind.... Or disabled in any other way that might prevent you from running from a knife, in which case a firearm might be a benefit. Not wanting blind people to own guns is straight up discrimination, no matter how you cut it. But I bet the news site that posted didnt think many blind people would be able to see the bullshit they print.
