Lets save all the PS4 fanboi hate here. Bought my xbox one in April, on the release of the titanfall bundle. Once in a blue, the xbox would take longer than normal to start up...the screen would go black after the XBOX logo then after 20-30 sec go to the home page. Yesterday, to my dismay, I turn on the xbox, the green logo comes up, then screen stays black permanently. I spent 2 hrs on the phone with xbox support, and tried everything including an offline system update with a thumb drive...which didnt work. I now have to send my 4 month old, $500 system out for 3+ weeks to undergo "repair" aka trash it and send me a new one. Has anyone else experienced this?
I don't think it's fair to say they trash it and send it back although I understand your frustrations. Maybe try focusing on the positives, it will come back fully functional which is a huge plus. If you had a 500$ light go out or a 500$ RC Airplane or something stop working they would tell you tough luck.
Not sure it's relevant but if you insist on being a pedant this http://www.topledgrowlight.com/mars-ii-led-grow-light-1200w.html#.U-HWinbepPM is almost 500$ and the 1600w version is 650$
This isnt regular frustrated, this is next gen frustrated. But no for real...a 4 month old piece of electronic equipment shouldnt stop working. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I doubt it as my xbox one has been on for almost 3 months now. It gets a quick reset maybe once a week. My dads cable went out so I let him barrow my Xbone for netflix and amazon prime and he hasn't stopped watching it since.(he is disabled and sits home all day watching TV). To OP really 3 weeks ETA? Is that the standard warranty or did you get a 3rd party warranty as well? I went with the 3 year anything happens your covered warranty. I can literally run my xbone over with a car light the pieces on fire then pee on it and I am still covered. I was just going to wait for them to release a newer model before mine "breaks". I do feel your frustration. Shit sucks.
True. Which is why they did the right thing and repaired it for free Sent from my LG-E739 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Xbox (or probably any somewhat newly released tech product) has had these issues before. I bought my vanilla xbox the day they were released, hell, I preordered it at an xbox 'faire' in Louisiana. 3 months later, red ring of death. Called up tech support & they tell me it's gonna cost $200 to send it back to be repaired. Man, fuck that. A new one was $400, just threw the bad one in the trash and bought the new version. I still have it, and it still works. I â¤ï¸ my vanilla xbox. *pets*
Microsoft said I'd have to send it out and would take probably 3 weeks. I didnt purchase any extra warranty...shouldn't have to IMO
sadly, every time i turn on my console i anticipate a rrod or somethin to that effect. not yet though. that shit sucks man. i completely understand your frustration. i went through about 9 xbox 360's during it's lifespan. my halo 4 edition has turned out to be pretty reliable though. where'd you buy it from? could have been a whole lot affected. i got the same titanfall bundle, got it from amazon
Sucks it's gonna take 3 weeks, but on the bright side you get a free month of xbox live whenever you send it in for warranty. Sent from my iPhone
you literally didn't read the first post did you guys lol. Yes im fairly confident my outlet works since the xbox logo comes up then goes to black screen
