Im looking for a light for a 2x2x3 box. Nothing expensive and all i am looking for is one or two HIDs or CFLs.

All I really need to do is to keep a clone or two alive for the winter. Im looking more towards CFLs because plants grow slower under their light.

Any Info, websites, or anything let me know

Cfls are cheap and they work great, get some in the 6500k range for vegging. I have 3-42 watts and 1-23watt 5k in a space the same size on 2 plants and they are doing great

  3. Backing this cfls, myself.

Always find that the low heat of cfls combined with the drastically lower room temps (at least in my house) allow me to almost double the amount of lights I'm able to keep in my tiny tent without fear.

  4. CFLs are cheaper and cooler running than an HID, which would be nigh impossible to use in a box of that size.

  5. if it's only to keep a mother plant or clone alive I'd say just throw a ~20w cfl in there. If you were flowering I'd say 150w hps..
