First Grow Sprout Turning Yellow

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by jman24, Aug 5, 2014.

  1. hi everyone its my first time growing and I'm wondering why my sprouts bottom leaves are looking burnt and yellowish. i did make the mistake of misting my plants at first and i am now aware that will burn the plants so i stopped doing that and since then any further browning or yellowing has stopped. i am also using Fox farm light warrior seed starter and have not given any of the plants nutes yet. pics are below please let me know if there is anything i can do to make them healthier. I have the light on for 18 and off 6. also watering only when soil gets dry maybe once a day.

    Thanks!

  3. Are you ph'ing the water? It could be a myriad of things, or even naturally occuring. Some seedlings lose their cotyledons extremely fast, while others will keep them all the way to harvest.

I suggest simply keeping an eye on them for the next week. Make sure you only water when the first inch or two of the soil feels dry, or the container feels light. Don't even think about nutes until the second or third set of true leaves, and even then start around 1/8 the recommended dose, maybe even less. Happy growing. :D

  4. Watering once a day is overkill
