Have I Made It Right? Cannabutter

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Alarn95, Aug 4, 2014.

  1. I'm not gonna lie I didn't do much reserch so do u think I fucked up.

I only used about just over 2g of weed and about 2 and halve tablespoons of butter. I mixed it in one of those pans used for baked beans and heated it for about 3mind I'm not sure if some butter evaporated but I felt the liqued amount got smaller. This is why I'm worried. So I added about 3/4 of a glass of water and then carried on simmering for like another 5mins. I have now put it inside the fridge. What do u think.

Ps. I heard that this way it only needs to be on the stove for like 10mins instead of hours.... So do u think I'm okay or has the thc not dissolved .

Also how do u know if the butter burned and can it even evaporate It wasn't on high flame. However it was boiling a little bit. Thanks

You can tell right away when butter burns. It gets dark and smells like, well, burnt butter. But yeah, maybe check out a recipe next time. it may still be good is it cooling in the fridge? Is the butter floating on the water?

  3. I mean to me it smelt of weed mixed with butter. It smelt nice. So unless there is like some horrible smell that comes fr burning butter then I guess I haven't burnt it. Also could the butter have evaporated. That's what I'm mainly worried about. However if it did, shouldn't I at least have got some form of vape high?

  4. The butter now appears to have gone slightly gooey in the fridge. Should that be happening? It's been in about 10mins as I had it in the freezer accidentally for like 5mins
