A Quick Question About Flushing/nutes

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by newzguy57, Aug 4, 2014.

  1. I'm growing a JockHorror Auto in a 2 Gal reservoir. I'm about 3 weeks away from final flush/harvest. Here's my question - I overfed the plant and developed nute burn. I flushed the plant, added nothing but distilled water, figured I'd give it 5 days or so to get rid of the extra nutes. Is it worth it for me to add any nutes and flush a second time for what would amount to 2 weeks after I finish this flush? Seems kind of pointless, but I don't want to deprive my plant of anything it might need. Just to be clear - if I don't add nutes before final flush, this would amount to a 3 week flush as a result of nute burn. Any opinions/ideas? Thanks !

  2. Bouncing between overdosing and underdosing is not good for the plant. Giving it 5 days without nutes will not counteract the kicking you gave it by overdosing. It just gives it a kicking in a different way. Give the plant the same nutrient concentration as it is taking up
