  2. Not too many people look over here in the gardening sub-forum.

I know some types of grass are very sensitive to heat so it could be that, or a fungus.

If you don't mind organic-based ideas, try to repost this in the Organic Growing forum; there are a lot of great minds there, and it always has somebody in there posting, much moreso than here, at least. G/L

I'd raise your mower up a bit, you might be burning it cutting too low, could be poorly watered(water in early morning, late afternoon/nighttime, taller grass will also help with water retention, could be excessive drainage causing the water to drop out of reach of the roots too quickly (you have septic or sewer?if it is over the septic sometimes it causes poor water retention as previously mentioned)), could be too hot...could have grubs, get some nematodes to kill em..  in other words, no idea man ;)

I hate grass, such a stupid thing.. we have it to prevent mud and tracking dirt into our houses but this fucked up world how green our grass is and how few "weeds" it has is some sort of stupid ass status symbol.. fuck grass, I can't wait to be able to have an all garden yard lol

  4. I totally agree, i have my whole back hard landscaped and only the front is grass

I was looking at fake grass, but its too expensive

  5. aerate and spread some compost over/in the holes and should be good. make it nice and level and super nutrients!
