Yellowing Of New Leaf Growth

Discussion in 'Greenhouses' started by Toke`n, Aug 3, 2014.

  1. Hey guys, my plant is coming along nicely considering the time of year (winter in Qld) but the new leaves are yellowing from the base of the leaf outwards.. Not covering the entire leaf structure.. Otherwise the plant and it's growth are coming along nicely, I can't figure this out?

I would post a picture but I only have an iPhone.

•Plant is in soil/compost/aged cow manure.
    •outdoor greenhouse
    •6-7 weeks old
    •1 1/2 Foot tall

If anyone can give me a hand figuring this out it would be great cheers :)

  2. Sorry can't post a pic as my cameras damaged but I've flushed the plants, run a ph test (good) and the manure is well aged (12-18 months) regardless I've increased my ratio from 5-1 to 6-1 soil/compost to manure.

Had some eyes on from a more experienced grower and he reckons it's just the time of year.
The plants look healthy as besides so I'm just gunna go with it untill I see any further signs to worry about.

  3. I mixed the same soil mixture for one of my plants this year and have the exact same problem. Its a mixture of lack of aeration and to much compost i reckon. Just flush this shit out of it, mines been like this for a month now otherwise its healthy.

  4. Would perlite suffice for airation?
I've been flushing n they look great apart from this weird yellowing >_>

  5. Perlite and peat moss would do the trick
