10-10-10. All Purpose Fertilizer

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by noizviolation, Aug 1, 2014.

  1. Just curious if I wanted to add some to currently growing plants, it's directions are 4.4 pounds to 10m square. Rofl I am not a mathematician, how would I go about finding out how much I would add to my 5 gallon bucket ? Thanks in advance.

  2. I wouldn't use that but do what you gotta do lol

  3. A shit house guess is a  1 tea spoon per gallon.

That's about 200PPM I think but like I said a shout house guess but a good one.

200PPM is plenty strong you can use less.

  4. Ty snoop, was not sure if I were going to use, have white widow 6 weeks into flower just looking for a good all-round organic food to help them finish. They are in pro-mix all purpose garden/potting soil. I had started them while I was cycling my 1st no till soil build. Every other watering I have top dressed with some of the living organic soil I mixed, but just seems they could use a little extra, staying with boxed sewage rather than bottled =P

Ifour twenty, is this some crappy stuff? I don't really "need" to use it, just wanted to let the girls know I still care =)

  5. what is it, more specifically?

Cant judge what we don't know.  :bongin:

  6. Makes sense =) CIL all purpose fert. 10-10-10. "Highly recommended for all fruit, flowers, veggies and garden plants" guaranteed minimums of 10%n 10% available phosphoric acid 10% soluble potash, no other ingredients listed.

  7. is it like a slow release or a liquid? you said your in week 6 of flower...dont people start to flush at about 6-7 weeks? i could be wrong or maybe you have a 10 week flower period.

  8. I just asked a smiliar question a few days ago. I was told 1 table spoon per gallon of my 5-5-5 for top dress monthly. But do half and wait 2 weeks to see how it takes to it then add the other half and go from there. Hope that helps.

it is tiny pellets/beads. Generally if I have not pre cycled an ingredient into a soil, I dissolve into water and water in. I am 2 days from the beginning of week 6, and looking at my flowers, they will not be mature by week 8. Plus white widow is a light deprivation species, so I intend to put em in a closet with a fan and no light only feeding water for a week or two. Essentially I am roughly 4 to 5 weeks from harvest. Plenty of time I would figure but then again, I am 12 years outdoor, 1st time indoor.

  10.
    red flag imo..

i'd go with a product that lists the ingredients.

  11. My 5-5-5 is Espoma Tomato Tone. Everyone loves that here. Cheap too. Find it at Walmart and home depot. Allot of places

I must ask - what is a "light deprivation species"? Honest question - I've never heard of this before.

What does depriving a (healthy) plant of light do?

Well. I had never heard of it either but here is what I understand. Put your ladies through flower, by the end with WW you should have mostly milky white triches and some orange pistols. If you harvest now, with your white triches, you get more of a head high. Deprive them of light for a week or two past this point and the plant increases cbd production, also turning your triches to an amber/orange and turning a majority of the hairs ( pistols ) orange. My understanding is harvesting now is more of a body high, and more geared for pain and stress/nerve relaxation. Correct me if I am wrong ( which is often lol ) but I have read about a few strains that act in this manor.

  14. Lol so just harvest later?

not the same ( if you just left em 2 weeks longer with the 12/12 cycle the plant won't produce the extra cbd and or resin the same as lights off ) as far as reading has informed me. For a photoperiod plant if you mess with it's life ( light ) it can do things that are out of the norm compared to not. For pure experience, information, enjoyment and curiosity, I am going to harvest 2 of the 4, 1 week after I put the other 2 into darkness. See if what i read is speculation or fact. I hope so many of thousands out there that claim this works weren't just yankin my chain. Cuz ya know , if it's on the internet, well it's gotta be real/true.

  16. you will have to be super vigilant during that 2 week period of not having any light.  i know for me not having the lights on in my room jumps the RH and for an extended period such as weeks at a time you will have to be on the lookout for mold and bud rot depending on how tight the buds are.  I've heard of putting that strain thru a dark cycle at the end of flower but the longest I've heard is 72 hrs and your talking weeks.......just my 2 cents now so make of it as you wish

  17. Haha.

Sorry I wasn't aware you were doing 24hr darkness.

  18. No need to be sorry, I have never done this before, so I feel ignorant with my explanations lol.

I truly appreciate the input. I shall start with the 24-72 hours as the 2 previous posts make me assume it could be 24 hours, 48, 72, or even a week? ( from other reading of up to 2 weeks in dark ) For this event I have central air to hopefully help control humidity, also have a small window ac unit I can put to use and leave the closet door cracked. One last back up is a nice small dehumidifier I can fire up if need be. Again really appreciate the info especially pointing out mold and rot, I shall definately be on the edge of my seat watching them =)

Harvesting later is what produces higher levels of CBD in relation to THC.  It is not strain dependent.  It's the natural chemical maturation that takes place in the trichome.  Of course, some strains are just naturally higher in CBD levels in relation to THC just like some strains contain naturally higher levels of THC in relation to CBD.  The whole extended darkness thing is stoner science.  How do you suppose growers produce the super dank outdoors without being able to subject their plants to expended periods of darkness?  Proper harvesting technique.  You may find this article interesting...

And if you are trying to grow organically, that 10-10-10 fertilizer that you're wanting to use is NOT organic...
