Is Stirring Required For Sous Vide Cannaoil?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by virtualpurple, Aug 1, 2014.

  1. Hi folks,

I have searched online but not really found a satisfactory answer, I'm not sure if its ever been really tested.

Firstly, I am looking to use ABV to make oil using coconut oil.  I have heard that a safe bet is to double the amount of weight that one would use with fresh herb.

I could do this with a crock pot, but with my schedule I can be robbed from the house at any time.  I am looking for a way to maximize absorption without having to stir?

Is my sous vide cooker a viable option?

The temperature maxes out at 210 degrees f I belive, I'm not sure if thats high enough...

I'm wondering if finely grinding the ABV and purging the air from the bag will be effective, the plan is to let it go for 20-30 hours.  Will this turn out okay if I can't stir?

Anyone with thoughts or previous experience?
