This Is My Special Smoking Spot

Discussion in 'Real Life Stories' started by Doke Smoper, Aug 1, 2014.

  1. It's the edge of my backyard.  It's totally out of view of anybody, and private property.  I like to get blazed with some classical music playing and watch birds skim over the pond.

Yea I genuinely feel for the stoners that live in cities, suburbs, complexes and other places without a decent outdoor area.  I decided to buy this property specifically because of the secluded backyard view and no direct neighbors.

I'm a specific stoner, I like classical music, outdoors with a cup of tea and listening to birds when I'm high.  I have a hammock out there.  Total relaxation.

I want to let other blades know that if you work hard you can buy your own little sacred grove and blaze up in total peace and comfort, with no worries.

  4. Yeah I want that. Can't get it if I smope doke though.

  9. My parents' house is like this.

They live on a massive farm and it's totally secluded and an amazing place to smoke.

Farming successfully their entire lives have allowed them to live a pretty amazing life from a property perspective. They have a basketball court, an in-ground pool and they have two houses (although one is the old house and really is only used for storage anymore). Before I moved out and got my own place, my friends and I used to smoke in the old house and then go swimming and play basketball all day. There were some pretty amazing outdoor spots that we could go and blaze, too. I loved it out there.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy smoking in the comfort of my own house (which is also decently private, no one lives on either side of me and there's a mountain behind me), but it's nothing like out at my parents' house.

    That place is truly awesome.

Yea I lived in an apartment complex a few years ago and smoking indoors would smell up the whole complex and there would be complaints.  I would walk down the street to a ballpark and smoke on a hillside staircase.  Except in the summer there would be little league teams practicing all day and kids playing, so I had to stealth toke or wait until it was dark and smoke out on the balcony.  It was a big hassle and just trying to smoke was an ordeal.  I love being able to stroll through my yard smoking and be totally private.

Here is the view from that spot if you turn around and look back toward my house.  You can see part of my shed off to the left, and right in the center you can just barely make out part of my house.

I live in Northeastern Arkansas.  We are surrounded by rivers, lakes, swamps, old growth forest etc.

We also have things called "sloughs" pronounced sloo's.  It's kind of like a swamp, except it's fed by a river so it's not stagnant.  Here is a picture of a place called Mingo in Missouri that I've gotten stoned at a bunch of times.  It's one of my favorite places to smoke.  There are boardwalks a few inches above the water with no railing it's really cool.

  15. No we are too far north for gators.

  16. My lack of ecosystem knowledge. Are there swamp predators in the north?

  17. Just snakes.  We have copperheads, cottonmouths, and 3 different types of rattlesnakes.

I mean we have over 30 different types of snakes here but those are 5 that are lethal.

  18. Not much better than gators since you can usally see a gator.

Snakes don't hide underwater.  During the day they like to sun themselves, so they are laid out in plain view.  Around here you learn to watch where you walk.  I've been walking through my backyard and seen a copperhead a few feet ahead staring at me.  I just walk around it.  After seeing someone they usually take off.  Snakes are afraid of people.

Just don't step on them lol.

  20. I have avoided one on ones with snakes so far. Well one time when I was living in california years ago, I walked out of my doctor and walked out the door. Well my mom was just standing at the door and I dont notice for a little. When I do turn around there is just a baby snake sitting there in the middle of sidewalk right under the doorway.
