A goodwill run uncovered two vases that I was saving for a rainy day. Said rainy day has come. I give you Benjamin Franklin and Colorado Ribs. Ben Franklin has a carb on it that I will later fill with a grommet so no one has to fondle glass bits and Colorado Ribs has a fitted pill bottle ash catcher.

I used a 5/8th inch diamond drill bit for the downstem hole and a half inch for the carb, and personally, I dig Ben a lot more too!

Not if you put a bowl in the downstem! I've been using doorstops for my aluminum downstems and it creates an air tight seal.
I had nearly the same design on an older piece and it didn't melt the plastic holding the other downstem in place or the vinyl tubing attaching it.
