Well everyone. I started a new grow here recently. Everything is going kindof smoothe. I can post better details later but I have to rush to work. Can anyone tell me what they think is wronge? My leaves are kindof droopy even after watering. And they seem kindof weak. There's some splotches on some of them. I'll be back on later.
Hm. I just transplanted a couple days ago from a 1 to 5 gallon so I gave her a nice water. I haven't used nutes until maybe a week ago. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I'm using fox farm ocean soil. And I'm using 5 flourescents. I was thinking maybe it's just weak from using those shitty lights? I know it's not anywhere near optimum but is all I have for now. Been looking at this dope 400 watt HPS/metal halide light for 150. Will snag that ASAP. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
deff looks like a case of "wet feet" - the bottom of that thing is starving the roots of oxygen and your girl isn't getting the food she needs. Fox farm OF isn't bad as far as aeration goes - it does help to add perlite however - what are your temps? The size of that plant says the rootball isn't anywhere near the capacity of that container - so you have to be careful with overwatering. Since you just transplanted, let her dry out and she should bounce right up! Keep it green
I appreciate that. Temps stay cool. Maybe too cool. Around low to mid 70's during the day and low to mid 60's at night. I have a fan blowing on it constantly. Using flora series nutes. Grow area is big so no space issues. Bag seed. Possibly Death Star. Loved that stuff. 5 gallon pot. It's almost 2 feet now. Gona flower soon. Wanted to use a 400 watt HPS but can't get my hands on it yet so unfortunately I'm going to flower with fluorescents and see what the difference is compared to previous grows I did with a 1000 watt. It's been over a year since I last tried to grow. Hopefully it's still decent quality. I plan on curing it for 3 months. Should I expect a dramatic decrease in quality because of my light sitch? those are pretty low temps for peat moss. I wish you could run that hps it would provide 50k lumens and heat things up a little which would dry your soil out quicker and provide more oxygen. The last thing you want is going into flower with soggy roots that can't provide any PK to make buds ....like I said let it dry out and it should pick right up as far as flowering under flurou's I don't reccomend it although some people have pulled off some sick micro cabs with flouro's not to mention see more buds grows with fluoro's in his book and flowered half a lb. I would get the hps if I was you, or just do what you can and learn from it, you'll get a end product either way. good luck.
Thanks man. I'm going to snag that HPS as soon as possible. The light I want is dope though. A 400 watt HPS and metal halide in one. Also can tune on 120 or 240v. As soon as I get that bad bad boy I'm going to go to attitude seed bank and grab some killer feminized seeds. This is kind of a trial run with some basic stuff to get back into the groove since I haven't done this in a while. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
She is starting to look really bad. How can I make my soul dry out faster? I hate I over watered. I think I maybe packed my soil too tightly. Not sure how to fix it without further stressing it. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
just wait it out and learn from it...if you had a dehumidifier you could run it for a little in your grow space but that's about it. Temps are safe at 80 and will dry it out. Serious though, peat moss can be a pain. Promix Bx taught me that! It's also a lot of fun to work with. Just make sure you have adequate temps and ventilation - it will bounce back. Keep picking the bucket up and learn how much it weighs till it is almost bone dry (you don't want to deprive it of water). Then give her whatever she needs according to your feed schedule. The old growth might get necrosis but the new growth will be nice and green if you take care of her The old growth will always be discolored but it will be a friendly reminded not to overwater and your new growth will look great!
Thank you very much. I hate stressing over the girl. I love watching nature unfold. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Put her in 24 hours of dark to start her flower. I know it's not necessary but I've had good results in the past. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Some of my stems are turning red. Anyone know what this is? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Yeah I do but never in the grow room. It's sealed off and we smoke on the opposite end of the house. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Cigs can cause tmv? It is a disease in the plant. Most food that has it is un edible. I would Hooke cannabis tmv and look at pictures and compare Red stems can be normal. I am worries of the abnormal growth
Red stems could be genetic, could be cold temps or start of nitrogen deficiency but it does look nice and green Sent from my GT-I8190N using Grasscity Forum mobile app
All my old growth is shit. Burnt tips. Curled in. But the new growth looks good. Confirmed female. Showed sex very fast. Hopefully the nug is good. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
A little update. She looks okay. Plenty of hairs popping out all over. New growth looks good with the old still looking wilted a little. Overall pretty good though. I notice my stock and stems are smaller and more bendy than my past grows with the 1000 watt. But we'll see how the nugs look. I just want them to be dense. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
