Depends on what you want to get out of it. The military is best used as a stepping stone for a more solid starting point in life.

Builds character and helps you out as far as personality and education, but, also financially.

But like I said, depends on what you want to do later in life. You might want to choose another branch to match the mos you get to the job you want later in life.

  9. 3 year old child, roofing and swing shift at a kitchen.

Dropped out of school as a sophomore, because of her pregnancy so I could work and "let" her finish school. Education one way or another is what I recommend for anyone.

I've sadly (IMO) never joined the military but feel compelled to help answer the guy above me's question. If it's something you sincerely believe you are capable of and want to do, I for one would recommend it. Even if "just" the reserves. Access to education and substantial enough if pay while bettering yourself in many ways. I kick myself almost daily for being too much of a head case to join up. To this day I would have loved nothing more then to be the only 4th generation Marine in my family but the mentality and self control to tolerate boot camp or simply the balls to try even if I failed. Lots of authority haters on here so I just wanted to make sure you had at least one reply that showed admiration to you for even strongly considering the military. Of the 8 people I know who've joined the reserves not a single one has any regrets, other then being sore for a few days after training lol.

  12. I was in firefighter training while working two hospitality jobs, entering a relationship with the girl I thought I was going to marry.

It's almost six years later and I'm living in a different country, married to a different woman, working as a landscaper and preparing to leave it all again to travel the world.

Moral of the story? Everything is going to change. Being 20 doesn't mean shit.

  13. Welll last year I was working a full time job saving mad money and staying out of trouble for the most part. A year later and I'm pretty much doing the same thing.

  14. I'm 21 and have no idea what I'm gonna be doing in 10 years, hell I don't even know what I'm gonna do this weekend lol. I think it's normal to feel a little lost at this age, I'm just living the present and trying to figure out what's next for me. The only advice I can give you is to not overthink and stress about this situation, It'll only make things worse (speaking from exp). Good luck :)

  15. Loads of things about my immediate family, how my mom hasn't worked in ten years that's why my childhood sucked lol, idk, my mind is just so open at this point in my life and it's pretty sweet aside from noticing how shitty stuff REALLY is lol
