  2. lack of light

  3. Also, it was on a 24-0 light schedule ever since a seedling, but i thought that would be too stressful for a little baby so i changed it to 18/6 last night.. But now im scared that it will affect the plant in anyway because its used to have 24 hours of light a day.. Any opinion? Thanks

  4. You need more light. Is that even a CFL? It looks to be the wrong color aswell.

  8. Dig it up easily try not to destroy any of the roots and bury it to the first set of round little leafs ..

  9. Update: I just came back from the hardware shop with this light bulb, should this get the job done?
Also, since its its stronger than the previous one, is the distance between plant/light looking good? thanks

  10. Your plant is fine and don't dig it up like someone suggested. When you transplant to a larger pot (not yet) just cover the stem to a height that you prefer.

That light should work fine but I would lower the light some more.

Return the bulb and see if they have at least a 5000k one, but the better choice would be a 6500k.  That light is "warm" you need "bright/daytime". That's a 2700k bulb, equivalent of flowering for CFL. You need bright white/blue, not warm white/yellow. Your plant is in summer, not fall.

Once you get the right bulb, you need to get it between 3-5" from your plant. It's stretching because it's looking for light.

I just vegged my current grow under CFL's for 6 weeks. This is what they looked like after 6 weeks of Veg under 6500k bulbs...healthy, bushy and ready to go into flower. I'm 22 days into flower now under HPS, but couldn't be happier with my veg results with CFL. I will use my CFL's again for the next veg stage I grow.

This is what 6500k bulbs look like, see the bright white? Versus the color in my sig pics now? That's the difference between summer and fall to these plants, when using artificial light. You're creating indoor seasons and forcing the plant to grow under your terms. So getting the proper equipment for the grow periods is vital if you want successful results.

  12. OP has a lot of research to do. . . :hide:

  13. Bury the stem by adding more dirt to the cup.  I'd fill it too the top to cover more of the stem.  You do need a cfl, ordinary light bulbs will not work.

  14. Don't burry them just go to Home Depot and get 4 6500 lights and 4 reflectors for 30 bucks and she will be a great plant and your set up will be fixed. She is just stretching for light.
