I've seen a lot worse. A clean bong will look a bit shitty after one big sesh. Bad is when you can't see where the water is up to because the whole thing is caked. Your argument would have to have facts against bongs in general. Everyone knows they aren't as healthy as a vape. I would say any kind of oils is gonna be worse for you

Oil isn't worse for you. Less inhaled = better for your lungs. It'd have to be some really bad hash to have any negative health effects whatsoever.
honestly just soak it in some clr or another strong stain remover for a day rinse it out really really well and its good as new dirty bongs do take more effort to clean but its still not hard

No I wouldn't hit that..hot water will get rid of alot of that gunk and ISO will get rid of the rest of it. Honestly I don't see how people can be that lazy...just clean the damn thing every once in awhile

Dump out the water, add fresh water and I'll hit it. I don't know why people are making such a fuss about it. Have you ever seen a pipe after a few weeks of use? It's definitely worse than that bong. Bacteria and mold growing in there? Never seen correctly cured bud rot and I know resin is not water soluble at room temp. As for cleaning it. I know some cheap bongs can break if put directly in hot water. I always start rinsing mine while waiting for it to heat up. I clean it about once a week. Maybe twice. It's a straight shooter same size as that but a straight base instead of beaker. As long as I keep using it and cleaning it regularly it mostly rinses all out except around the ice cather. When I let it sit and dry out is when it gets difficult. Then I use a brush made for cleaning guns
He just thinks there's a lot more risk of breaking it while attempting to clean it - so he never moves it away from its spot aside from picking it up and shaking it down. He's also really big on harvesting resin, so he likes to have as much of it build up as possible... And he's perfectly aware of how easy it is to clean. All my equipment looks practically unused (I vapor-bong and dab on an oil rig, I clean my equipment every day). I shudder every time I pass that dirty thing
