Do You Think Knowing Definitively About Death Would Make Humans More Peaceful Or Cause Complete Chaos?

  1. Would knowing that death was a very final end mean that you would live your life in a more carefree way, or less? If death takes us all and we are no longer around to care, then surely our activities here can probably be taken less seriously, and life lived in a more satisfactory way. Then again, without the burden of afterlife that does weigh on the minds of the majority of the world, people might become more chaotic knowing that death would free them from any consequence.

On the contrary, if there was an afterlife of sorts and we knew and understood it, the world would either become peaceful under one religion or people would be so focused on the afterlife that this place would turn to total and utter shit.

    Please post your thoughts.

  2. honestly, what you describe doesn't sound much different than now. I don't think much would change.

  3. When we are kids we don't do anything bad when our parents are watching because we are scared of being held accountable for or wrong doing,

When they are not around we do everything we can to let it out of our systems we start swearing and even look at porn and stuff

People not believing in an after life tend to live in the moment and do anything by instinct they feel like they aren't being watched anymore and can do anything. Well that's my opinion

  4.      I think it would depend on the type of afterlife. Is it based on karma? Is it based on acceptance of the Lord? Reincarnation? There's so many theories that it would be hard to say. IMO if I know there was no after life, I would just end it now.

I have always been accepting of death, knowing it's a door I must some day open. Not wanting to ruin my thought of an "afterlife" is the only thing that has kept me alive so far. I believe that those that commit suicide end up having it worse than they did when they were alive, as they would be filled with guilt and remorse.

So in my case, Ignorance is bliss. I'll just keep tokin and biding my time till I hear the knock. :smoke:

  5. What if it's based on being good vs evil and believing in the creator not the creation and to just repent for the bad you have done. .. sounds easy enough no?!

  6. It wouldn't make much difference. People with belief systems are all positive that they are right already. Whether it is a belief in a religion or a lack of.

The only people this might affect are agnostics. And there's not that many of us.

  7. They would argue about who deserves to die, And then everyone will die, and then there will be peace. The end.
