Is It Too Hot?

  1. I started my seeds off for germination in the medium. I realized it was way too cold in my house, so I moved them outside in the shade at about 5:00pm yesterday. It was about 78Ëš when I moved them. I woke up this morning and checked them, it was 69Ëš. Two of the seeds had popped but haven't got their leaves yet so I assumed they were okay. I checked them again at noon and saw that the sun had moved so they were no longer in the shade like yesterday and this morning so I cover them up with this tarp thing. The news says that it is 80Ëš, is this too hot for the rest to germ and the ones that popped to live? I don't really want to move them and risk dropping or shaking them too much and I want them to get used to being outside. What should I do? The one's that popped are not dead yet and I think it's about 78Ëš in my house right now.

  2. I have some little ones outside right now that I popped outdoors in 90degree weather. I think if you start your seeds outdoors you end up with a much stronger plant then if you start it indoors then move it outside.

  3. I thought that too, that's why I was reluctant to bring them inside. I just hope the short amount of time they were exposed to full sun won't affect them.

  4. Its actually better to be s little warmer when germinating. 80 is what I keep my germ tray temp at all the time.

  5. 78 degrees is ok to germinate seeds
