Soil Vs Hydroponic Medical Grow Comparison

  1. I'm thinking of writing about my new hydroponic vs soil experiments with a detailed guide in how I started hydroponics so far it is very smooth and my seedlings look good and I'll put up a photo very soon

  2. Nice...always flirted with the idea of going hydro but too far into soil growing to go back to beginner stage lol.

Dude I thought the same way until I started growing with hydro, it seems very simple do to my experience with water ph due to my love for fish and fish tanks. This is how well I am off so far

  4.

Why not just document the whole process with pictures and a journal?

  5. I predict the hydro plants will be chopped down and dried and cured before the soil is even ready. The hydro will yield 2 times what the soil does.

Iv done both in the same room room. All I can say is " Get that fucking dirt out of my house" :D

  6. I do both organic soil and bottled nute hydro, consistently and considering perpetually.

My results are that first, strains matter big time.

I had 3 clones from the same plant give me three different sized plants with 3 different bud qualities.

Also, in my experience, some plants prefer certain mediums and some prefer soil to hydro n vice versa.

Hydro seems to grow faster, quality in bud is completely different.

Im enjoying both. Fun bein a farmer :smoke:

  7. Thanks so much guys for your interest in this topic I'm not going to place any bets but the hydro seedlings are developing much faster I cannot see how reg soil get compete with human made hydroponic mixes. But I am very impressed with hydroponics and to any real noobs I would def recommend recommend looking into it, till next update :D

  8. Hydro is always going to grow faster due to constant water/oxygen hitting the roots. However, the rate of growth shouldn't be the determining factor of who the winner is. All about the bud at the end of the day.

Might try hydro with my next grow run. Is the mixing and making sure the PH isn't the same all the time really that much of a pain in the ass?

"It ain't going to grow itself"

  9. That was my intention, you cannot compete with the hydroponics ability to speed the metabolism the of plant cells due to a very high amount of nutrients readily available to the plant.
But as the growth rates go hydro is winning by a long shot. I'll put picks up but most soil seeds still have seed casing on and one of the bigger hydros have there third set of leaves. Pics up soon after I smoke,
I would like to see comments on predictions and comments on how I should Conduct the war between the organic growers vs the new wave growers

  10. Hydroponic root systems are very cool to look at knowing how impressive they are. Hydroponics grows at least 175% faster

  11. What kind of soil are you growing in?

  12. Home mix, but I was thinking to switching to a fert based mix because I want to at least have results compared to hydroponic

Yeah dude, make a journal and I am sure you would have a lot of interested followers.

With that said, we all already know what the outcome will be. The hydro plant will grow fast and huge and the soil will be slower but probably yield more aromatic flowers.

I grow organically in soil. The taste, aroma and potency can never match up to anything hydro. Just my personal opinion from personal experiences.

  14.
    What's in your mix?

  15. Now it's a mix of 40-50% peat
And a dry organic fertilizer mixed in with kelp meal so the ph is stable

These hydroponic plants are on there 4th set of leaves where as the soil plants have barely started developing there 3rd pair of leaves.
