  1. Is it just me or does the line work on the hook look a tad sloppy?

  3. The J isn't consistent thickness and it looks shaky at point like the line connecting the J to the a. Same with the c. But its not that noticeable and it still looks good.

  4. Thanks for the feedback guys!

  5. It looks good. What is the meaning? You fishing for someone named Jacob? Is your name Jacob and you enjoy fishing?

  6. Yea its the latter. Fishing is my life and my name is Jacob

  7. Line work definitely shaky but it's still good. But if I'm going to be 100% honest..i love that I live less than an hour and a half in any direction of quality artists. Competition drives the quality so high

  8. did a friend do it at home? looks like that could be the case, wouldnt be too bad if so

  11. Don't go back to that tattoo parlor again... you can find better work than that.

  12. If you're ready for another tattoo, I would say go to a well reviewed shop and see if they can even out some of the lettering. It's definitely not the worst I've seen but it's gonna be there for a long time and you deserve the best :)

  13. Not bad at all, and you can make it all bolder if you wished.

  14. If you ever get arrested, that tat will be documented for ID purposes.

    Oh it definitely will.

Officer:  "Why the fuck would you get so many tattoos?" (or something equally hip while busy with paperwork lol)
    Me:  "heh."

As for the op, I can't say I love it, just for the work not for your idea.

  16. I do hate to say so but the line work on the hook, A, C, and O are pretty thin and weak. Good news is, take it to a good artist when it heals and it's easily fixable.

  17. i usually wont say anything if i dont have anything nice to say. but since you asked.

either your "artist" is still apprenticing (highly doubtful) is a terrible artist (probable) or his machine is terribly out of tune. probaly a bit of b and c. also noone has mentioned that the shading is even more horrendous than the lining. a hard thing to "accomplish"

very inconsistent line weight, terribly shaky, and i can see a few blown out lines. also it looks like you did not heal all that well, some of the ink fell out in a few spots, specifically the bottom of the hook

can it be fixed? yes, but the you will have to have thicker lining done to hide whats messed up which will give ur tattoo a less realistic feel than what it looks like you were going for. also going over work is going to be much more painful than what you have already gone through. im sorry you had to deal with a hack on your first experience. guys like this give our industry a bad name

  18. That's pretty bad actually. No disrespect but it's a simple name with a fish hook and you can immediately see flaws in it... not a huge deal though since it's just lettering, I just wouldn't ever visit that shop again! All of my tattoos were done at home and look much more professional than this

Yeah not to be an ass but looks like a scratcher did it. I only get ink when I've met the guy and seen his work in person. I don't mind paying premium because it'll be on my skin forever

Not to worry, you can go somewhere and they'll fix it for you

  20. Good thing they won't have a pic his ugly mug and finger prints...
