If smell is a concern put your Pyrex dish inside a big Turkey bag sealed well. Don't open it until it cools off. Do not forget to decarb first! Same thing inside a Turkey bag

Use Canna vegetable glycerin instead of cannabutter! Look up badkat's tutorial on GC. She is the cooking goddess, and has simple recipes also!

 

I put grinded weed in peanut butter, put it in oven at 290 for 20 min then ate it. Tastes like shit but it got me high. It might not be strong though. It felt strong, but I smoked a bit after I felt it from the edible. Took an hour to feel it.

3 or 4 nutella to 1 coconut oil  3 or 1. mix in ground decarbed pot fill a 3" dia tart cup. cover top in tin foil. and cook in oven at 340f until the top of tart is glassed over. let sit for a day or so then put in the fridge for a more chocolate tast

 

Does this really work? What are your decarb temps and mins?

 

Standard accepted decarb is 240 F for 40 minutes.

It'll work as that's how we did it about 40 years ago.
We've learned so much in the intervening 40 odd years that that is a really outmoded method nowadays.
A better way.
Decarb weed first = 240 F for 40 minutes open air cookie sheet in oven
5 grams weed-hash-BHO-ABV
2.5 teaspoons Coconut oil (any cooking oil works)
.5 teaspoon lecithin (optional powder doubler)
Heat 220 F for 20 minutes
Freeze (softens material can skip)
Heat 220 F for 20 minutes
Done
Now you have about 15 doses of good canna oil (30 doses done with hash or BHO)
Can use it directly or add to any foods. Just remember it's 15-30 doses and start small as to much to fast is a stone bitch.

I work mostly in hash but it's identical steps for weed.

I make this stuff about every 60 days for my own medical use.
400 more caps just a couple of days ago.

I will try this, is there a way to make smaller batches? And you bake it twice in just bowls? How bad is the smell. Sounds great

 

Sure you can scale it up or down no problem. Just keep track of the amounts you used so your next batches are the same strength. That way you know what to expect and don't get a rude surprise and spend hours hammered off your ass on this stuff.

Not gonna lie the decarb will stink like mad. And the oil cooking is not without it's own roasted nut like smell.
Can limit the stink by working in a turkey cooking bag.
I use the tiny stainless steel cat food dishes as they can go from oven to freezer and back to oven with no fear of breaking. Lost a load of hot hash oil in the oven when a glass dish shattered and that was the last ceramic or glass dish I ever used.

All my cannabis cooking gets done in an old toaster oven outside on some sawhorses. Keeps the stink out of the house and the wife happy.

About half the time I let the caps melt in my mouth like candy for a faster onset if I'm in discomfort. (PAIN !!) LOL
The hash based caps are very tasty to me with a nutty-buttery flavor.
