Yo so I got 2gs off this pretty good stuff, the dealer said it was hydro but I don't know, it smells like camomile.and lavender, it has orange buds and in the centre there is a yellow tint. I think it's sativa cause we are all really talkative. It sorta looks like caramel popcorn lol I'd give this bud a 9.2/10 :) Attached is the photo

  2. Lol there is no photo, click edit then add to post?

And it's not always easy to tell the differences between which growing method was used.

  3. A lot of people will associate tight buds with being grown hydroponically. The reality is that you're not going to be able to guess if the roots were grown in water or soil just by looking at a photo.

  4. Wouldn't let me post the photo, anyone know the strain though.?

  5. Yeah sounds like you got some of that Girl Scout Cookies. But it does sound like some nice grown shit. I'm not sure if it's hydro or not

  6. Ain't no one gonna be able to tell you what it is, homie.

  7. This post has noob written all over it

  8. no amount of pictures or smoke reports will help in identifying a strain, impossible man. all we might be able to tell you is whether it was grown indoor or out, but even thats a stretch. just hesh up and enjoy your bud young'n.

  9. with out a doubt & without pictures this thread is pointless! Better yet taste the bud... And describe that.

Earthy & tasty= good weed/ most likely organically grown

Shitty Taste & harsh= bad weed/ usually hydro

Stay loyal to the soil... & ... If you don't know what that means, you should.

And get some pix to us dude!

  10. Wow.... just wow. Fucking hate summer.

I grow hydroponically (technically, soilless) and my weed tastes awesome. also organic doesn't automatically make good weed

  12. Thanks for the advice guys, sorry that there's no pic and that this thread is "pointless". I was sky high last night and couldn't be fucked finding out why I couldn't post pics

Grow hydro all you want... Flush it all you want no one said automatically... Both methods take work! Mother Nature is all you need, if you know how. If you genuinely taste the two differences, you will realize how much money you've wasted on weak distasteful weed, but not you, heck no, you're pro!

Haha I have smoked organic bud before it's no different. And I don't care if you don't like hydroponically grown weed. I know I grow damn good weed and there are plenty of people that love smoking it.

At the end of the day, we're all growing the same plant here. No need for a holier than thou attitude lots of you organic-only-freaks like to use.

I know that if you smoked one of my buds and an organic one you couldn't tell the difference.

EDIT: just like growing organically doesn't automatically make it good, hydroponics doesn't automatically mean shitty nute filled buds.

Kalash, don't sweat posting a "noob post"- we ALL were beginners once!  It is better for you to ask the question and get the answer (and put up with a few snarky answers), than to go around in ignorance!

"Hydro" just refers to how the cannabis was grown- hydroponically. It can be as good, or bad, as any cannabis grown in soil. Hydroponic growers do tend to be a bit freer with chemical pesticides. I grow organically, in soil and the strongest pesticide I use is Dr Bronner's Peppermint soap (it's very effective if used properly and non-toxic).  But that is just a matter of personal preference- both methods can produce "kick-ass" cannabis!

Strain- no way of telling unless you get something totally outrageous like "Vaniluna" (variegated green and white buds with a vanilla scent). There are thousands of strains now and heaven know how many crosses! Even the conditions they were grown under can affect the way they look! Cold temperatures bring out purple colors, so if you have 2 clones of "whatever purple" and one is grown in colder conditions, it will display more color than its sister grown in a warmer grow!

Have fun at GC! You can learn a LOT here!
