I have always been confused as to if God was real or not. Today I realized that I do, and that I've been wrong. I always thought I knew everything and I realized that I have a lot to learn and that I need to be more optimistic and humble. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I'm not saying I don't believe you, man. I am honestly, and genuinely, interested? What sort of epiphany did you experience for you to come to this conclusion, friend? And are you sure that this conclusion you have reached, after "seeing the light", is going to be indelible?
I died for like 10 seconds, then came back Only thing I got was tunnel vision, a fading feeling and a rush of endorphins. Omega369
Oo. I held my breath on a psychedelic once and my vision went tunnel. Then the black started creeping from the surrounding towards the middle. I stopped because I thought "this doesn't look good". "I'm to drunk, to taste this chicken" -Talladega nights
Op I'd like to hear what happened. Can't just leave our curiosity hanging like this. "I'm to drunk, to taste this chicken" -Talladega nights
"this doesn't look good..." LOL! That's right in line with "...mmmaybe this isn't such a good idea..." xD
It's perfectly possible to still question "God's" existence, but accept that the wisest man is a man who knows that he knows nothing at all.
Thats true if your thinking that God is some figurative tangible thing that the mind can grasp or characterize into this physical existence using our limited minds. But there is a way to catch glimpses of 'it' and actually see...
Many people find the light in times of personal weakness. they are not strong enough to cope or do not have enough life skills to deal with circumstances. A strong family and circle of friends can be better than any religion. Religion often fills those gaps in a cult like manner. Most people believe because they are told so. They have been programmed since inside the womb about the heavens, angels and gawds. the indoctrination is strong. The ignorant rely on smarter people or influential people to give them spritual direction. It is no wonder religion spread over the eons. Most people could not read in the majority of the world until the 1700s or so. Religions roots are in manipulating and coercing the poor and uneducated. Finally, another big segment are those who succumb to the social pressures to conform.
It's quite obnoxious of you, and, actually, quite snobbish of you to think that you've encompassed all the reasons by virtue of which one believes in a Deity. You're just as lost as those you people you opine as being ignorant.
Religion isn't the cause of the privation of the masses; it's the manipulation of religion, funded, and fueled, by aristocrats, that has lead the world to become as it is...
You have no position. You have beliefs, and a strong inclination for denial. Your objections are far from being shrewd and intelligent... you sound like each and every other naysayer...
You, of all people, are in no position to determine who is divulging "the truth"... as much prejudice as you bear...
Do you handle the truth? Open your palms and give me another glimpse. I've never met a man who has handled the truth and spoke like you.
