the ecosystem vertical growing system

  1. my friend is about to purchase a new system called the vertical growing ecosystem.in which you simply place up to 200 cuttings in a upright standing pod which is a self contained unit with two 400w central lights.the uniqu thing about this method is that the plants are placed in 1m long rockwool cubes that stand upright.
but i am unsure as to its success and reliability. So is there anybody with any experience or knowlege on this method it would be handy:confused_2:

  2. I've never seen one in action, but it seems like it would work okay. Essentially its just like any other groeing system I gues, but with a much bigger surface area, due to how it works. Pretty clever if you ask me, let us know how your friend does with it....

  3. Is there a site i can look at this I am kind of interested

  4. ive been runnin 3 ecosystems for about a year and i am well pleased with them the only real problem is cloning enough plants to fill em. you must make every effort to keep plants small and compact if you are going to put 200 in it i built them all myself quite a lot cheaper than buying them :smoking:

  5. hi i was also thinking about purchasing the ecosystem do you have any plans or blueprits on building 1 cheaper as £2000 on a 50/50 sucess rate is bad odds lol

  6. yeah i can see the setup in the pics but i would like to see one in action with plants init that would be awesome

  7. The kid uses that thing on the show "Weeds".

lol yeah he does but i feel like thats just them getting cheap and lazy remember conrad and halias warehouse where the kid learned to gro? or the first grow house now that was some fucking awesome shit they put so much time and research into it and it looked awesome and now the kids growing in a mylard van under floros? +he didnt have any fucking mothers to fill that shit with theyr slackin...maybe thats why i hate this system...lol

...whats the average yield on one of those? im under the impression that the lumens produce the weight...not the amount of plants... you know?
why couldnt you just have 16 plants under 2 horizontal 400w hps...i dont really think thats necessary at all unless u only have 4 square feet of floor space.

but i guess it would be cool to see it on harvest day

p.s. i like how you said "you just SIMPLY place 200 cuttings in" lol u make it sound so easy but if u dont have floor space where the fuck are u gunna get 200 cuttings...and i bet id get off with my 16 plants alot better then your 200 cuttings if we got raided lol but i suppose it depends on the laws in ur area...if its by # of plants though ur fucked lol

but im sure ur friend will have a blast...sry for being so critical

  9. I run both a vertical garden and a traditional flat and have found the vert to be a whole lot more efficient. Both are 3000w with the vert yielding 5-6 lbs off of 79 plants while the flat usually does 3-4 lbs off of 60 plants.

The full frontal lighting on the Vert allows for large main colas while also giving plenty of light to the low buds. I get almost no larf from my vert grown plants.

  10. atlantis hydroponics, my local hydro store, keeps an ecosystem running year round and it thrives.! 'course they're not growing the stinky fire but if it can grow tomatos and other veggies then im sure it will do the same for some strain.

  11. Hi,

I just bought an ecosystem and I've never grown hydroponically. What tips do you have for me? Are there any tricks?
