fuck off man you just made all my drawings look like shit lol Anyways that's some beauty art man if you got more upload em!
These are old I don't have any of them they all are on my phone I think my mom framed a few and either sold them for charity, Or gave them to family members,. she sent me picks of all of them. But those are all I have.
Art is what you make it. It doesn't take skill to display creativity. Why do you think parents don't tell their kids how shitty everything they make is. Cause then they'll never make it again. And lose that.
Drawings and other stuff from various times in my life. These are all kind of old since I haven't made time to draw lately. View attachment 145083 View attachment 145084 View attachment 145089 View attachment 145088 View attachment 145087 View attachment 145086 View attachment 145085
Hi GC! guess I should be part of this creative and artistic community and color this post with my art as well.. some of the art work I had to cover their eyes, I don't think they would be pleased if I posted their faces on a cannabis site
Adobe Photoshop 2011 I think, make a new frame over the original picture, then it's a matter of what style you going to use and how you will approach it, my friend's picture (the one with the cap) was semi-charcoal style, while the other one, an 'random' who is now an acquaintance was drawn in anime-like style. Once you get started and you get to a point you can't see the original picture you can always toggle between frames, It's the same as doing it in old fashion way where you toggle your view from having to look at the person and then looking on your work on the canvas, but with more advantage. If you got a simple pen & tablet and practice on it, you will find it better than using the mouse, it feels different than using a pen or pencil but you should easily get the hang of it after using it for a total of 6 to 18 hours (not back to back or in one day) I use Wacom Intuos Manga Pen & Touch Small, no need for the expensive stuff. and if you feel better drawing on a paper or canvas, draw it as you like, then scan it, then use Adobe Photoshop... and then.... explore and discover your creativity.. If I would to describe my personal experience.. I would say before using scanner, adobe photoshop, and pen&tablets my simple hobby was just a beautiful world to explore, it seemed it was limitless, but I found out it had walls as borders, I still enjoyed my world, but when I discovered these tools, it opened a portal to a even more exciting, mystical and bigger world to explore. Till this day, I find out a new neat trick to do and how to overcome old obstacles and new ones I didn't noticed in the past. If you are imaginative but seems to always mess up the scale, for example thumb on the right hand seems slightly smaller than the one on the left hand, mess up on light/shadow direction, or hard stuffs like how big the hand should be when closer to the point of view compared to the rest of the body, there are free 3D model software. Like for example... Daz Studio for free you don't really need to buy models or any ad on from them (make sure your pc can handle it or it will go super lag) after you figure out how to make your model(s) pose the way you like, you can print it, use transparencies paper on top, add on your creative touch, scan it, and then adobe photoshop. http://www.daz3d.com/products/daz-studio/daz-studio-what-is-daz-studio
Yeah I'm delving in the complex world of Photoshop which is helpful, but so many tools to choose from. Any helpful tips for a noob like me?
Shoot, the same piece I did "Aaliyah" was made in a class for graphic art, but I don't remember the program. You definately need a lot of practice. I figured the longer I spent on it, the better it looks. When I slacked off, it was noticeable in my work imo. Take classes if you can, or buy a Photoshop manual book to get all the ins and outs.
When it comes to Photoshop I am a noob too, but I assure you it is not hard to explore it.. and there are helpful people on youtube that will show you how to do neat tricks. My only tip, if your using a pen like stroke invest some time to figure out the size and type of stroke you feel comfy with. If you have a one line stroke ability (like making a circle with one stroke) make a face part or body part that requires a few strokes repeatedly, sadly I wish I had that ability (my hand is used to shorter back&forth strokes, if you looked at my pen and paper sketches you would notice that) without it, things are a lot harder for me. Another tip is try to take advantage of the frames/layers as much as possible, for example you can separate the target you are focusing on on one layer, while the background is on another layer. Figuring out shades, fades, blur, burn and other effects is no brainer too, you just need the time and will to explore that program to get used to it. I'm very sure there are free guides out there in the cyber world that will show you the A to the Z for photoshop you just need to work your search engine to find it.
Haha, the image of a kid showing their parent a drawing and the parent going "Ugh, that sucks." has me crackin up.
Yeah I've been avidly watching tutorials on Youtube to remember every step so I don't forget, I haven't used the pen stroke tool yet because usually, I just scan my pictures and then try to see if I can emulate them on Photoshop; I also was going to try Ilustrator since I heard that you can vector the images really well, but I'll take more time to invest in these tools. Layers? Yeah, I have played with some of the layers, in fact, I'm trying to create a "Welcome to my hometown" shirt by cutting out the radius of the city with the Quick Selection tool and placing different images of districts inside of the image. Let me show you the outline. Then at the bottom, I'll place the "Welcome to my hometown" sign. On the back, I'll place the zip code number. The only problem I have is bypassing copyright because most of the images I need requires a license. Sigh. Thanks both of y'all for the tips!
The image of a kid drawing a piece of shit and showing it to the parents while saying with an angry face: "now this time please be honest of what you think of my work!" cracks me up even more.
Is this a public thread for any artistic level? I wouldn't mind sharing a few drawings... @[member="The Green Knight"] is one of my biggest fans and probably wouldn't mind coming over to check out the art as well. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened ~Dr. Suess
