hey guys, I have been meaning to go out and buy an ash catcher, just to see how much better it makes my hits. I was at a party when i saw the perfect size glass absolut vodka bottle. I took it home to begin my project on this homemade ash catch/pre cooler/ whatever. But i have found my self stuck trying to figure out how to attach the whole piece to my actual bong. If anyone could help me out or has any ideas that would be unreal. thanks and cheers
Is the cap plastic? If so then it's somewhat feasible. I don't think it's worth it though unless your making it for a price of shit bong. By nice ash catcher for a nice bong i know whatever you will jerry rig will not be that nice
Or follow these instructions: How to make any glass into a bong: Buy a $10-$15 glass downstem/slide combo from your local head shop. Should not be glass on glass but if you can make it work good for you. It should come with a rubber grommet. Next go to lowes and buy the grommet if you need one and also buy a diamond drill bit of the size of the grommet. The drill bit is expensive $20-$30. Use a normal drill with the diamond drill bit to drill a hole in the glass. Insert the grommet and slide/downstem and you're done. Make sure the place you drill has a good downward angle so the downstem can go deep into the water without leaking out the slide. To make it an ash catcher take a length of tubing and run it from the mouth of the bottle to where your slide would go for your bong
